Everyone should disregard all reviews of this place from a few months ago. THIS STORE IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. The old owner was pretty gruff, and though I never had any problems I can see why some people would be put off ( though many of the bad reviews I found overly harsh... i.e. Being asked not to touch something turns into "I was yelled at and due to my lack of any backbone was completely horrified.... 1 star!" Though such is the case with most reviews nowadays. Ok, enough editorializing) Anyhow the new manager is is very helpful when you need him, and though I tend to be in and out pretty quickly, I often come in and find him diligently helping other customers. He does try to ring me up as quickly as one person can without being rude to whomever he is help/answering questions about everything on the shelf. He is the only person running the store usually so if he is helping someone else it, again, might take a moment for him to get to you so just realize that, ya know, one person can only do so much at a time. That said, the store isnt usually to busy during the week so one usually wont have to wait long. I would also bring cash for smaller purchases as they dont usually do debit for less than $20 (and yes folks that is pretty standard for a place like this. Remember youre buying high-end tobacco products, this isnt Target) he usually rounds up when giving change, at least for return customers. So to sum-up, if yo were here prior to spring 2016 and the old gruff dude kinda freaked you out (especially if you were younger and looking at pipes- you could tell he was sick of 18yr olds looking for weed pipes) come back and give this store a chance again as the place has a much more welcoming atmosphere, plus theyre selling old cigar boxes super cheap right now, which is pretty cool if ya ask me as they make great places for storing smaller items, from old documents to loose leaf tea to whatever (I like cigar boxes, can ya tell)

Forget about this place -- NEW BOSS, SAME AS THE OLD BOSS -- I had come here a couple of times last year and still ran in once a month when i was desperate but the owner was rude and condecending so i had to stop. I saw a big banner saying " under new management" so i thought i would give it another shot since it is a few blocks from my house. The selection while appearing to be vast when it comes to cigars is a lot of the same overpriced, low quality cigars. Ive had dried out cigars and plugged cigarsIf you are a swisher sweet smoker or an acid lover, or prefer some romeo & julietas, this is your place. The new owner, Chris, is nicer, and the place is cleaner but it is the same story with this place and its because all they did was put a new face in there, ive heard the old owner is still involved with them too. They really need to change up their inventory and update their tiny lounge. Maybe it is more of a pipe smokers paradise, but if you are a cigar smoker there are a number of better places. (Havana Joes or Habana house even) Stay clear.

They have a great selection of cigars, involving everything from basically any top shelf cigars down to budget sticks. I stopped in last week because I started getting into pipe smoking and this is one of the only shops in the area with decent pipes and tobacco. I picked up one of their house blends and a tin of one my favorites off the shelf. Unfortunately, I got a bad tin that seemed like a factory defect (seal was still good on it). Sent an email to them and they immediately wanted to make things right. I stopped back in the next day and was blown away by their desire to take care of the customer. During that time I also saw them take the time to educate and help a new smoker to make sure his experience was the best possible instead of just push product on them. Its a hike for me to get out there, but I have to say it is well worth it. Their house blends are priced very well and their cigars as well. Anytime I am in the area, I will definitely be stopping by.

I went here because I decided that Im done with cigars. I smoke about one a week. I went online and bought a pipe along with a few other things I needed. Then I found this place. I live about 25 minutes away, but I will be returning every time I need tobacco. Ryan was very helpful in giving me a pipe smoking 101 lesson. He was happy to take the time to teach and wasnt trying to shove super expensive accessories at me. Like I said I will be returning regularly from here on out, and I will be pushing for my friends to check it out as well. See you guys next time!

Hanks all right in my books, A huge selection of cigars, pipe, tobacco and accessories. He has a smoking room off to the side, sit in a lounge chair, sofa, put your feet up, turn on tv or the radio and have a smoke, been there and done it. A cigar for a buck or $100 bucks hes got em. Corn cob pipe for $12 bucks or a $500 pipe hes got em. The best cigar I think it the house brand for $3 or $4 bucks. I bought a 6 tall wooden Indian from him and many more accessories.. Been shopping there for 20 - 30 years (as long as I remember). Dont know of a better place to go.

I have not stepped foot in the shop in 7 years until today only because I heard it was Under New Management. The new owner is a very nice guy. Very helpful with selection and knows how to treat their customers with respect. I stopped going in there because the last owner was a rude piece of garbage. I will now continue to go to the cigar shop to buy my cigars and Im leaving the review for all other former customers to know that this is now what is cigar shop should be

I have to disagree with one of the previous reviews. Although the pipe and pipe tobacco selection is much smaller than that of the cigars, they have the best and widest selection available in the Chicago northern suburbs. Sure, you can go online if you know what you want. But you can walk in this shop and explore their wide selection. They have about 15 custom blends in a variety of aromas and tobacco styles. Its my go-to shop for best selection and service!

Driving by and stopped in. Always looking for a new shop. I should have kept driving. Neat shop with collectibles but every inquiry was met with sarcasm and dismissal. Bought a few cigars and shop attendant was put off that I wanted to use a debit. Then schooled me that "people who go into a shop like this usually bring cash". I told him he would never have to worry about me again.

New owner is 1,000 times better than that old gruff guy. Chris is in touch with the modern cigar smoking experience and will accomadate any type young, old, novice, or seasoned smoker. If he doesnt have a certain cigar he will order it for you and have it within 3 weeks. Amazing. Cant wait for football season on the big screen with a cigar in hand at Arlington pipe and tobacco!
