The Home Depot in Alton, IL came to a retirement village last spring and planted approx. 15 flower beds. They put in dozens of flowers--all donated by them. Not only that, the ten or so workers from the store ALL volunteered their time to do it. I thought it to be a tremendous testament to them as a company, to care about the community around them. The manager there that day was very nice, too. In addition, though I am a dunce when it comes to home improvement, workers at any Home Depot always seem to make me feel comfortable and confident. When I go in the store I always get greeted and helped with whatever I need. Any sales person goes out of their way to find what I want, or call someone who does...and quick. They stop what they are doing and take you right to the product and help you pick out what you want. I have met crabby customer service desk people, but thats all. And not everyone. But as to finding what I want with a friendly salesman....you wont find better.

Service was horrible. If there was a lower score than zero for service, I would give that. Will never go back. Lowes is right across the street, go there instead. Purchased a freezer there that had to be ordered. Entire experience with them was a nightmare. This store has SERIOUS employee - customer relations!!! Positives are products and prices are good, but dont expect anything more.

Was there to buy Quikrete wasnt sure what kind to get. 4 or 5 employees walk by me, none asked if I needed help. Found help on the web. Bought some Quickrete anyway. Will buy the rest at Menards, cheaper !

The Home Depot has what I need !, and they are cheaper than Lowes! And I never have a problem finding fast friendly assistance to help me find the products that I need!...

I would rather go into The Home Depot store any day over Lowes or Menards. The employees are helpful and so is the management.
