I have been going to JAYA since the doors opened. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid back with soft music in the back ground and sports playing on the tvs at the bar. You will encounter either owner, Jeff or Rory, when you visit, and they will not disappoint. With equal parts charm and humor you will be instantly taken in by either one of them. There are a multitude of choices of drinks, friendly on your mood. Coffee, it comes hot, cold (they do their own 17 hour cold brew that is to die for), latte, you name it, they can make it. Beer, they have 23 on tap and they know what each one tastes like if you would like a recommendation or a taste. There is a fair choice of wines and a full liquor bar. There is also food if you decide youre hungry. Like I said, depending on your mood, they have it all. One of things I fell in love with though, was the local community here, everyone is friendly and this place is no different. JAYA is one of those places that is exactly what you want it to be depending on how you are feeling that day. If you want to quietly read a book and drink your coffee in the corner or if you feel like being a social butterfly and laughing until your cheeks hurt or if you perhaps are interested in having a deep and meaningful conversation with someone. All of these things are sitting in this hidden gem in the middle of main street in the quiet town of Stone Mountain, GA. They also have karaoke on Friday nights if youre brave and that is always a good time.

Lovely, variable, cozy, comforting, friendly, pleasing, conducive, multi-functional are words that well describe this place. Ive never been a huge fan of the perfunctory-feeling of chain-coffee places. Cafe JAYA is definitely steps above these places. It feels very local, very welcoming, very "why dont you stay a while". Havent tried any of the food items, yet, but the Chai tea and other drink offerings have all been excellent. And theyre usually served in big, wrap up with your favorite book-style mugs. Absolutely worth the travel distance. :) Chain-places, while serving their assorted purposes, will be just fine. I strongly feel that its much more important to seek out and support places that help keep local communities vibrant and active.

Amazing place! Ive merely scratched the surface. Yesterday, with my electricity knocked out and a major presentation due, I needed a place to work. I noticed JAYA when passing through town and was impressed with their reviews. Let me tell you, it was even better than I had imagined. Friendly service, reasonable prices, and great vibes. Plenty of comfortable space to work and charge your devices...even when it got busy at night. The clientele also seemed easy to share space with. My only regret is not being hungry, because the food smelled great. Ill be back...to work and to hang out.

Excellent atmosphere, service, and food. The fact its community and locally focused is the biggest bonus. WiFi is great. Its got lots of nooks & crannies for sitting. Notable for WFH coffee shop workers: there are only a few small tables for working inside but there is a patio with plenty of tables when the weather is nice. There are plenty of chairs and plugs though for laptop (in your lap) work... Or talking with friends... Or reading. Highly recommended!

Ive never had a place feel like home, that I want to visit because it feels like family...until now. BONUS: the eats are great, the coffees out of this world, and so many beers on tap! The atmosphere is truly special. This has become my second home and is boosting the village of Stone Mountain and bringing neighbors together in ways that hasnt happened in decades.
