This place gets 5 stars just based on it has been the first Asian market I have been in that the first time, (and every time) I go in at least one person asks if I need any help! I have been in many Asian markets, in many different states, and this is the first time this has happened to me. Sometimes, if I am lucky, I can hunt down someone down to ask. Even then they may not understand English well enough for me to communicate what I am looking for. Yes, it does have the slightly funny smell that all Asian groceries have, yes, it does seem a bit disorganized...BUT if you just ask one of the wonderful and friendly ladies who work here, they have always been nice enough to assist me.

Ive been going here for close to 20 years now. First as a kid doing grocery runs with my parents. Then as an adult when I needed unique items for work. I did catering and crafty on movie sets and this place has some of the best teas, noodles, seasoning, and eastern produce. They even carry good vegan substitutes for a variety of meats and the prices beat anywhere else in town. On top of that, the owners are great about social ordering crates of whatever I needed.

Vegans & Vegetarians can find a lot of hard-to-find food items here. They have all types of vegetarian-based noodles, living bitters, all-sized bamboo plants, veggie chicken nuggets, & lots of vegetarian/vegan meat substitutes. Conveniently located directly down the street from Dekalb Farmers Market, it has a large variety of Asian products, canned, frozen, and fresh. The back of the store is not full of crap. There are boxes of asian cooking supplies and dishes as well as other things useful in a kitchen. If you like Asian cuisine, this is the place to get your supplies.

We came to buy ingredients for Thai iced tea and were pleasantly surprised by the variety of products sold here! At very reasonable prices too. The staff were helpful. We asked if they had boba and the clerk was happy to show us all their selection. Friendly staff, fair prices, and wide variety of products make for a wonderful store.

Its got all the spices I need, but hardly any fresh stuff. Whole place is quiet chaotic, messy, dirty, dark, worse than many chinese market I have been. Lots of expired food on the shelves, and lots of food that dont have expiration dates printed. I am Chinese and I dont feel very comfortable shopping here.

I love the variety of options here. The prices are great and the employees are friendly and helpful. However, you must ALWAYS look at the expiration dates on EVERYTHING you by. A lot of things are way past the expiration date. Other than that it is still a decent place.

Attention vegans! This place has TONS of vegan meat substitutes, both dried and frozen - drumsticks, fish steaks, shrimp, chik patties, hot dogs, etc. Great selection of noodles, sauces, spices, too. Only downside is price on bulk frozen faux meat products.

This place is so crazy... Its like an organized maze of things, Ive almost tripped over things in here more than once. They have great Asian products & the staff is very friendly but it can be overwhelming.

Love the service there. I go there to get my Jasmine rice. They separate it into 5lb bags so I dont have to buy the 25 or 50lb bag. Good price on seasoning packets.

Great Asian market just a stone throw from Dekalb Farmers Market. I come here for all my Asian specialty foods like dashi (for miso soup) and silly candies.
