Mr. Shucks was a great find on our trip to Brunswick. While the atmosphere is different than your average dining experience, with one half of the restaurant being set up as a "take-out" only area and the other half set up for super casual dining in, our over-all experience was not at all displeasing. The staff were friendly and accommodating, offering a sample before we ever ordered, and answering our many questions as we made our selections. I wanted to address the one star review by Teekah Furman. She stated that the staff were courteous, which alone should constitute more than a single star, and also mentions the taste and price being different than what she expected. Being a pescetarian (The only meat we it is from fish) couple, we frequent seafood establishments and found that the pricing was very comparable with other seafood restaurants, especially when considering the freshness of all the food served. When we mentioned that we had different preferences of spiciness, they accommodated both of our tastes by serving our selection mildly spiced, but bringing a side of extra spice for additional heat if desired, making the flavor of our shared plate of food perfect for both my partner and I.

From the east coast north. Grew up 41 years eating blue crabs in MD, DE, NJ, PHILLY, By far the very best crabs, hands down. For what you pay for a few crabs at home, I got 3 blue, a cluster of snow, a ton of shrimp, amazing potatoes, about a pound of sausage...and an egg? In mild (old bay) bitter garlic. Im the type who would put garlic in cereal if need be, and this place was Incredible! Nat was my sever, what a sweet girl, took care of me like I was her brother. She was attentive, and nice, but far from annoying. If I could give this 10 stars I would. Fried green tomatoes were good, no dipping sauce, Who cares the buffalo sauce and crab bitter made up for it. I really cant explain how good the food was for CHEAP. If you go for crabs, wear a different t-shirt, its about to go down (get butter on it). If the rest if the seafood is as fresh and good, do not miss this place. Get a buffalo egg...dont ask...just get it. If i lived here...i would eat here 4 days a week, and 3 nights, that good. Thanks guys...keep it up!

The shrimp is really good. You can have it fried or boiled in different flavors. I had the Buffalo my wife had garlic &butter and fried she had boiled potatoes and I had slaw. You order at the market and go next door in eating area for you food. They do a big take out business. Oysters, crab, fish. low country boil are on the menu. Great place friendly people. We will return!

We had the garlic shrimp. BEST shrimp weve ever had. We highly recommend giving Shucks a try. The owners were friendly and helpful, even provided samples. The price and quality were on point! The only drawback is that it is carry out only. However, once you try the food you wont care if you have to eat in your car or carry your food somewhere else. Its THAT GOOD!

Best seafood, in town. Me and the wife go there often. They have really good qarlic crab and there shrimp are good size 15-20 count a pound. Fried Buffalo oysters are good too. My kids dont really like seafood so when we do go we always get the kids pizza from little ceasars (wich is right next door) while we wait on our order from shucks. Its a win win lol

I had to travel to Brunswick from Atlanta for work on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Someone had told me how Awesome this place was but they were closed when I got there. I returned on Friday and Shucks was my First Stop. They were very accommodating and have some of the Freshest Seafood Ive had in the states. Love Them! #SupportBlackBusiness

This was the best service experience that my family and I ever had! We were visiting from MD and sent our daughter in for a menu. As we looked it over, one of the workers came out and brought us samples of the garlic shrimp! We tasted it and were sold! Us Marylanders thought that we knew seafood but boy were we outdone! DELICIOUS!

Its so good! The boss & the staff are really nice and I was very happy with the food prtions. They also have a dine-in area now. I got the Miss Shucks platter and loved it. Gotta get some garlic crab next time though; a lot of people recomend it! Seriously, I dont understand some of the negative reviews?

My first time at Mr. SHUCKS was a great dining experience the Craw Fish , Shrimp, Crabs, and Oysters were fantastic staff were great and the service was top noch Im still waiting for my pic to be placed on the menu !!!!!! Thanks for the shirt Ill be back again soon.
