I was in town last week for a conference and decided to kill some time before my flight. On a whim I googled lunch places near the MLK Jr. Historic Site and this came up. Im so glad I found this place! Awesome example of indoor urban markets. I thought it rivaled the one I went to in Valencia Spain last year. Tons of produce and meats as well as food vendors. The vendors offered a wide array of foods and dining experiences, from hipster chic to bbq to arepas. I got some delicious oxtail from Afrodish and people watched. It was a fantastic way to spend my lunch hour. Definitely recommend stopping here. Theres a MARTA stop just outside on the north side.

This place is wonderful! The popcorn shop on your right when you first walk in is awesome. They will let you try a sample before you buy it so you wont have any surpises when you get home (the kettle caramel is delicious! ). The greens located in the back (far right corner) of the market has good collard greens that have already been bagged with your choice of greens with or without the stems. They also have bagged turnip greens with the turnips already chopped up inside. The muscadine and scuppernong is pretty good too.

When I was younger, this place was scary! Whole pigs and cow parts hanging... &It reeked!!! Omg Im getting whoozy thinking about it... But lets fast forward... The food here. Ok, I cant think of a bad restaurant here, at all. (Ill probably screw up the names and leave out a few, but here goes) Tilapia Express has yummy shrimp &fish salads, hot wings, you name it. Just be sure to order something fresh. Rawsome Juicery, pricey but soooooo good (Ive seen cartons of minute maid under the cabinet tho

I loved the Market not being from ATL and coming from Miami I went to try Arepa MIA. The food was really good and very fresh but I will have to say the service from the lady behind the counter was HORRIBLE she was rude and had absolutly no people skills. I do have to say that High Road Ice Cream was amazing the Ice cream was very good and they service GREAT! so thanks to them they made it all better. I will definitly come back and try the other vendors soon.

I always come here whenever I visit from Nashville. Spend at least $5 here on anything in the market and get 60 min of free parking, which is really nice considering how expensive parking in Atlanta can get generally. Everyone here I have talked to is very nice and cooperative to do business with you, particularly at Miss Ds candy and the Venezuelan arepa restaurant. Definitely worth the 5 star rating.

Nice and open. Greens were so fresh and tender. So many lovely restaurants that let you sample before you buy and the prices are very reasonable. I have to say...go to the meat pie shop and get the side of mashed potatoes with gravy with whatever pie you choose. Literally the best gravy Ive ever had. If it wasnt impolite, I would have been licking the bowl. Pie was delicious too. :)

This is a very cool market. Not only do they have a great selection of vendors but they have some of my favorite bites to eat along Edgewood Ave. As an added bonus parking is free as long as you buy something at the market from any of the vendors. The vendor will give you a ticket after you purchase something that you have to show when exiting the parking lot.

Great local food market with interesting history. Has fresh food and variety of local restaurants - many start ups. Arepas, pizza, meat pies, deli and much more. They also have a bookstore, pharmacy, tea shop and cooking school. Cool local Atlanta experience. Historic authentic food hall created long before food halls were recently built and became popular.

A little iffy. I would go here to buy honey and a smoothie from the JUICERY, look at books in the book store and there were great snacks. Not a place to go to buy all groceries but you can find some good items there. Great location. Parking is terrible so, park anywhere but inside the lot. (use street parking)

The Sweet Auburn Curb Market continues to improve! Fresh produce, herbs, seafood, meats, baked goods, and palatable dining choices. Convenient to Georgia State, The King Center, and Downtown. Stop by and patronize these businesses. Ample parking is available. Take the trolley.

This historic market market houses some of the best lunch spots in Atlanta and is definitely worth a stop if you have not been. Choose between shops that sell BBQ, Burgers, Burritos, Arepas, Pastries or just buy groceries and cook something on your own! This place has it all.

One of my favorite Atlanta places. Not as trendy or upscale as Krog or Ponce, but a great market just the same. Lots of good food options throughout, and it always smells like praline. Local food vendors fill the middle of the space. Crowds on the weekend.

Great place to shop. A great experience and an Atlanta tradition for as many years as I can remember. Great meats , fruits and vegetables. I like the food courts also. When I visit the municipal ( curb market ) it just feels like HOME

Cute market, but really undeveloped and stale offering. Large quantities of generic greens, not much else. Mediocre selection of asian produce and spices. I suppose that its one of the only produce stores in Downtown, so theres that!

One of my favorite places to stop at in Atlanta. This isnt your Ponce City or Krog Street Market, this is a market for the rest of us. Affordable food, used books, and unique history. The people watching is great too.

What a gem in the Sweet Auburn neighborhood. A one stop shop for fresh vegetables, meat, and other grocery items. The restaurants located in the building are great too. Need more of these in Atlanta.
