I was in town for a business training & thought I would place a to go order to take back with me to the hotel. I have worked for Cracker Barrel in West Des Moines, so I know this is comfort food for me & what service should be like. I had to hold to place my order & was told that it would be ready in 10 min. With traffic, it took closer to 20 min for me to get to the restaurant. When I went to pay & pick up my order, Kay, the cashier, advised she didnt have an order under my name. She didnt offer to have someone come up to see what was going on. She just made the excuse that someone had gotten hurt & was being taken to the hospital. I hate that an employee got hurt, but that shouldnt stop the rest of the staff from doing their jobs! She did have another gentleman who wanted to place an order while I was waiting to see if my order got entered, server came up & took his order, then walked away & she never mentioned my waiting. Another 3 min or so goes by then she asks, are you waiting for a to go order, have you already paid? I walked out because I was too irritated to stay at that point!

Previously, the Cracker Barrel at the Windward Pkwy location gave me the wrong order. I called the restaurant, and the manager claimed the next time I visited I would get a free meal. Not that I believed it, but those were his comments. In reality, I never got the free meal. Sadly, I talked myself into continuing to purchase meals there (as I usually do each week). Today, I placed a "single" order of 2 grilled pork chops which includes 3 vegetables. I arrived home and discovered I only had 2 of the three vegetables. After I went online and found their number, I called the store and asked to speak to the manager. Basically, I was asked if the manager could call me back later because he was busy since it is dinner time. I will not go back!

Easily the worst Cracker Barrel Ive been to. I got the fried shrimp platter and the food was far from what I would expect from this chain. The shrimp were minuscule with the tails still on them when they were fried, the hush puppies were burnt to a crisp, the coleslaw was mostly tasteless vegetables soaked in watery mayo, the mac n cheese was sub par, and to top it all of the cornbread and biscuit were both under cooked. Worst of all the was that the person I was with had to send back TWO separate meals due to being completely inedible. Overall if youre looking for a Cracker Barrel, theres a MUCH better one up on Exit 14. The extra minutes to drive there is worth it--they actually prepare their food properly.

I came on a sunday morning for brunch with my manager, I was very impressed by all the old ads that were there. The service was great. Our server was friendly and gave us whatever we needed. I had the Uncle Herschels Favorite: a special that have 2 eggs cooked over easy with Grits, Sawmill Gravy and Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits along with Real Butter and the best Preserves, Served with Hash-brown Casserole and Fried Chicken Tenderloin. My food was very good and the portion was so big. PS. In the restaurant is a country store. They sell all kind of food, candy, some clothing. I wish I had a Cracker Barrel where I live I would go very often

Terrible! What happened?! They have always had very good food. We went in and ordered dinners to go. Had to wait 50 minutes for order. One order was the Friday Special Cod dinner. It was a different crust, more cornmeal type crust instead of the usual puffy flour crust and there was barely any fish. What was there was dried up. One piece didnt even have any fish. The biscuit was terrible also; under cooked and totally different tasting than what they normally serve. The other dinner was the fried chicken and looked like it was covered in cornmeal and put in a toaster oven. Very disappointed in this visit.

This is the second time this month I placed a to go order and came after the time they said to get it but they made me wait. The person I paid call back on a radio and the person at the host desk called back. But they never came to get me my food both times I walked around waiting. And both times they came up to me after I asked again and said it was just sitting back there. Well if its just sitting back there its cold and you shouldve given it to me. What awful management they shouldve at least given me a cold drink for free. Im so disappointed in this place.

Worst experience ever. Called in take-out order at 9:02. I was told 10 minutes. I raced to get there on time. Once i arrived, I was told it was cooking, After waiting 45 minutes I finally got my food. It was partially wrong but at that point I didnt care. The manager didnt even bring out the order. When I got home and looked at the receipt I noticed the order was entered at 9:22. These people are a bunch of unorganized idiots. I was a loyal customer but will never go back. Typical of service at most places in the south.

My husband called to place a to-go order and was transferred multiple times and placed on hold for 10 minutes (no exaggeration) and then was disconnected. I called back to speak to the manager (Jacob or Joseph, was it?) who was unapologetic and simply said they were too busy. Too busy for service? When my husband arrived, the order was wrong after the manager repeated it back to me, later lying to my husband saying I didnt order what I had, though he repeated it back to me twice. Poor leadership and customer service.

I have previously never been to a CB because they dont exist where Im from. I love eating here whenever I visit Alpharetta because its delicious, greasy, fatty goodness that I indulge in. When at home I typically eat healthy, so this is definitely a treat. I couldnt eat this food on a regular basis however, because Im sure it clogs arteries fast. I love the very country feel with the giant fireplace, and awesome decor. If youve never been, you have to go! Health nuts stay away.

Breakfast was fairly poor. Had the Country Boy Breakfast: 3 medium eggs; a small side of hash brown casserole; a small side of slimy grits with minimal flavor; a tough, medium-rare, 6 oz. top sirloin steak, baked apples; biscuits & gravy. The food wasnt horrible... It just wasnt outstanding. And the portions were meager. I had to go home to get something else to eat because I was still hungry. Definitely not like the Cracker Barrel of yore. Wont return.

Cracker barrel has really gone down hill, I remember as a kid we would go every Sunday for breakfast or lunch and it was something I looked forward to. Now the food just sucks and the only reason I even went today was because our son loves their pancakes and sausage. I had to send my food back and it never came back out to me. Next time I wont order anything and just go for the sake of my son because hes always delighted to eat here.
