My wife and I went to this market to get some food for dinner. We ended up buying about $100 worth of food, wines, olives etc. The reason for the one star is after paying for everything the register / bag lady she put a large bottle of oil and other heavy items in a single cheap plastic bag, and they are super thin!!!upon leaving the store the glass bottle of olive oil fell right through the bottom of the cheep plastic bag and broke right at the front door. My wife reported the incident to the register lady that the bag tore and glass needed to be cleaned up before someone gets cut. The register woman got defensive and blamed my wife with an aggressive attitude and said it was not her fault, it was bagged properly. (Which she hadnt been blamed for bagging neglect) Than the owner Charlie walked up and he started yelling at my wife, its not their fault the bag broke it was our fault, WHAT? we didnt make the bag or bag the groceries, aggressive and rude customer service all around. Needless to say it was a terribly embarrassing situation which our main concern was to have the glass cleaned up so nobody got cut, I guess he was ticked they had to clean it up, We dont know but we will never shop there again. How can you be an owner of a store and be so insulting to a woman customer over a bottle of $8.95 olive oil accident. Lets blame on the cheep plastic bags made in China that they purchased. This type of aggression and rudeness would had never happened in a Publix or Winn Dixie supermarket. Well just shop there from now on. Id rather give my money to nice Customer service oriented people than to that poorly managed mom a pop store. Publix has everything they do and much more.

I found this jewel several years ago while visiting my brother in Florida. My family and I were staying at Tuckaway Shores (*also a nice place) and the Melbourne Beach Market was just down the road. Melbourne Beach Market (known to my family as the "Greek Market") has now become a tradition every time we come down. It has everything you need for a wonderful afternoon picnic. We typically go straight to the deli and get the curry chicken salad, various hummus, some deli meats and a fresh french baguette. Just around the corner you can choose from an assortment of freshly made desserts (we got a slice of the traditional cheesecake and the creme brulee cheesecake). Walk a little further along the lengthy meat counter and youll find some antipasto by the pound. I always get some stuffed olives. The employees are friendly, attentive and happy to help. Cant wait to head back down for Thanksgiving!

Updated 4/11/2017: Have loved shopping here for years, but today learned that the butcher has a policy of cutting the boneless chicken breast so you get a portion of fat with your weighed purchase. I discussed this with the owner and, yes, this is the store policy. He does this so he can offer the chicken at "$2 per pound." Updated 6/29/2017: Returned a half gallon of milk that spoiled prior to the stamped expiration date. Owner would not exchange or credit for the spoiled milk. I wrote a letter and heard back from Borden Dairy in Dallas who is sending a Walmart gift card to compensate for the spoiled milk (they were out of coupons). Other grocers in the area told me they will exchange spoiled milk and work with Borden directly. However, Melbourne Beach Market would not do this for me.

I shop regularly at Melbourne Beach Market: the meat is fresh and tasty, some of the best meat I have ever eaten, and not expensive, either. They have a wide variety of tempting desserts that are hard to resist, but make a fine ending to a great meal. They have recently added a Chefs corner, and offer a variety of sandwiches and hot foods for those who do not have time to cook. Everything I have tried has met or exceeded my expectations. They also have a large selection of wines from low cost, quality wines to gourmet wines, and this is the only place I know of to get some quality, tasty Greek food! Your taste buds will love to have you visit this market, but watch those desserts - they are really tempting!

I flew into Melbourne and was driving south on A1A to Vero. Had peanuts on the plane and I was starving. Saw the Melbourne Beach Markets sign advertising subs and took a chance. I got a great Italian sub on a huge, fresh french roll with plenty of meats and veggies for $6.99. I ate half for lunch and the rest for dinner. Much better quality and about twice the weight of a similar Subway footlong. So glad I found this little gem as I was wandering down the coast. Awesome selection of small company sodas and teas in the cold case too. Just my kind of place.

I have lived near Melbourne Beach Market , for many years, and I have to say ... WOW ! I love the great things that Charlie & his crew have been doing over the last few years to really make this a stand out place. The new Chefs corner has great take away food, with the best PIZZA in town. The bakery is fantastic, with yummy fresh fresh fresh cookies and breads, and the deli and meat section is really big + if you like wines, there are wines from all over the world at great prices. My new favorite place to shop ! :)

BEST PLACE TO SHOP BEACH SIDE,... Great food & nice people! Chefs Corner has excellent food hot & ready to go while you shop + Wait until you taste the bakery items, and the steaks are the BEST I have ever cooked on the grill ... all hand cut by the in-house butcher ... trust me .. you will never get a steak at Publix that even comes close to tasting this good ... TRY it ... I promise youll be back ! :)

In a word - YUMMY ! We visit over to Melbourne Beach from Clearwater and stay at the little B&B up the road. And I always look forward to exploring and getting some very good food from this market. Every time we visit there are new items! My husband really likes the great meat selection & now the new pizza. And the prices on the wine are half of what you see at other places, for very good brands.

I am a veteran that just left the service a month ago. Went in to respond to a craigslist add for a stocking position at the store. The owner was incredibly rude and harsh. He has a mentality that he is a God among men and treats people as if they are stupid. I was appalled by the way he spoke to me and talked down to me for coming to apply at his business.

Their deli has a great selection of dishes. From fresh sandwiches, to various flavors of hummus, assorted salads, every type of olive imaginable, baklava and other tasty desserts. They also have a wide variety of craft sodas, as well as a wide variety of wines. And a friendly and helpful staff. A local gem!
