Im a complete beginner. When I say complete beginner I mean, I just got my rifle, and I didnt know the differences between ammos. But the gentleman at this store (his name escapes me right now, but I believe him to be the owner.) explained everything to me without making you feel two inches tall, unlike some of the other gun stores around here. He took the time to explain the different velocities, the different brands, the different casings and we discussed some of the politics behind gun ownership. I bought ammo from him and a gun case. All of the prices were comparable to the ones Ive seen online (which was a bonus seeing as how some of the other gun stores seem to think their stuff is made of gold.) and the friendly service cant be beat. If you want great prices, nice down to earth customer service where they understand that everyone starts somewhere, and just plain good conversation, stop by this place. You wont be dissappointed! Thanks guys! Ill be back!

Recently I decided it was time to purchase a firearm and after doing some quick Google searches I came across Empire Gun & Pawn and its overwhelmingly positive reviews. I then visited the location looking for a particular gun but all they had was the compact version... They pointed me in the right direction to an excellent online vendor and they handled the FFL transfer at a very reasonable price, substantially less than than their other nearby competition. Came back a week later to pickup my new gun and they were just as friendly as the first day, definitely appreciating my business even though I did not buy from them. Picked up some 9mm FMJ very reasonably and have been very happy with their service and friendliness. Very well recommended.

Once you get in the store all what was said may be true but very irregular hours, staff not knowing a whole lot about guns but certainly about gold chains, and bling stuff. Sometimes nobody around till after 12 noon on days supposed to be open so making appts or getting info from them is a chore and a half. Its a hit and miss show.............small and musty place. Because of the bad hours and ethics about when the store open or closes.................as some days it will just stay closed.................I cant give them much of a rating. Made a few gun deals there but nothing to write home about.

Originally found these guys after buying a firearm off of gunbroker and used them to do the legal transfer, background check, etc. After working with them, it really upset me that I didnt just go straight to them to begin with as they are so knowledgeable, and are actually willing to speak with you. Just called again today to get some advice and they will talk your ear off about different firearm choices. You can really tell they care about the customer and enjoy what they do. All my firearm choices will be at Empire with no exception.

The gentlemen here were very courteous when it came to transferring a rifle for me that I purchased online. I just called and they explained the whole process to me and were very patient, considering this was my first firearm purchase. The younger guy that worked there even looked over my new rifle with me to be sure it was on the up and up when it was delivered. If you want high quality, personal service, and a reasonable transfer price ($25) then Empire is a great choice as far as Im concerned.

I have purchased several weapons from Empire Gun and Pawn. These guys are very fair when it comes to trading in some weapons for one(s) they have in stock. They do not try to take advantage of you. They also have lay-away, and you can pay installments (So the wife doesnt find out!). This is an old school gun shop and they will, "haggle / barter / horse trade" for the best price, if you want to go down that road. Go visit them and see what you think.

What everyone says is true, these are BY FAR the nicest people I have ever encountered at a pawn shop or gun store. My fiancée was looking for jewelry so we stopped in, and my 16 year old son and I gravitated toward the gun display. They were incredibly nice and helpful to my son, showing him everything and explaining concepts like the difference between single and double action, etc. I cant recommend them highly enough.

I really like this shop. Great selection for the size. I have purchased a gun and have done several online transfers and every experience was great. No rude attitude here. You will be greeted with a friendly smile and left alone to browse and when you are ready you get prompt service. They happily answer questions too. There is almost always something cool in the bargain bin so check it out before you leave.

What sets this place apart from other gun stores is their incredibly friendly helpful attitude. They seem more than happy to take whatever out of the case and show it to you and chat about firearms. Very knowledgeable. Great place to get your 1st or 500th gun. No sales pressure. Nice selection of new, used, and military surplus guns and accessories. They will also buy n’ trade stuff.

These guys are great! They are friendly and very knowledgable. I have purchased several guns from this store as well as had my online purchases sent here for transfer. They are one of the few shops that care and remember what the term "customer service" really means. Their store is always clean and they have a good selection of new and used firearms. I highly recommend this shop!

I dont have much experience with pawn shops, but I am very familiar with firearms. They made me a great deal on an interesting old gun. I need to stop in and look for something new. Great staff and selection, most importantly: great prices. Edit: also got my 20 gauge bore snake here way cheaper than Ive seen it anywhere else.

I had a great experience working with the guys at Empire gun and pawn. I sold them two nice rifles due to a job loss, and they gave me very fair money. They are also super nice guys to work with.....professional, honest. and friendly describe the guys who work there. I would definitely give Empire 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just purchased my very first handgun there today (a SCCY CPX-1 9mm). The staff are friendly and super knowledgeable (no pressure!), they have a great selection to choose from, and the prices cant be beat. I have been dealing with these guys for years and you will absolutely not find a nicer more trustworthy set of knowledgeable guys around. If im buying a gun local, I go to these guys first every single time because I know what im getting. I also use them exclusively as my FFL and have never had an issue.
