This bookstore is very organized BUT they are not fair. I have been going here for 12 years but will not be back again. Today my son and I brought in 30 books, most of them newer, all of them in great condition and most of the paperbacks were the newer, larger, easier to read size but barely received $40 in credit. I know that this store has to make money and I have gotten use to the sting of only receiving a dollar or 2 for the books I trade in but today when we brought in 3 of Charlaine Harriss Sookie Stackhouse books (NEW and not battered) and found the next 2 in the series marked cash only I tried to ask about a trade and they not only told me no but acted like I was a bum asking for spare change. Needless to say I took my 3 back because Im not going to let them give a dollar or 2 in credit and then turn around and sell them as cash only items for $4 each. I hate that I have lost a book outlet since everyone in my family is an avid reader but I refuse to do business with a store that doesnt value my patronage.

I have been going to this bookstore since I was a child. Every time I walk through the front door the familiar smell and feel of the place brings me back to a time when life was simpler. Ahhh to be young again...I remember tucking myself into a corner of the childrens section and getting lost in a book. My parents could hardly get me to leave. Over twenty years later, I can still be found wondering the aisles looking for my next adventure. It is nice to see that peaceful little hideaways like this still exist. The customers and staff have truly become part of my family. Everyone should come out and support this local treasure. Who knows, you might see me there. Oh…you may also see one of my daughters tucked into a corner of the childrens section lost in a book. She reads 2-3 books a week! I pay a fraction of what I might at the bigger chains. I am so happy that both of my daughters have inherited my love of reading. It all really started in this quaint little shop around the corner.

The best place in Lakeland for used books. I have been coming to Book Bazar for about 8 years, I still find new books to buy or trade for every time I come in. Their staff are ALWAYS helpful, and they are very knowledgable about most of the newer books and authors. They have HUGE selections of most genres, including: Nonfiction, science-fiction, historical drama, romance, childrens books, and SO MUCH MORE!

This is the most organized, tidy, clean, and professionally-run second-hand bookstore! The inventory is divided into genres and then alphabetized for easy searches. Most books are priced between $2 to $4, which is far cheaper than even Amazon to compete in prices. Very impressed overall.
