Ive shopped this publix for over ten years and I understand the summer challenges. However this summer (2017) has been shameful so far. Forget placing any online deli orders. They will not be completed, period. It use to be Saturday and Sunday the shelves would be picked over and somewhat out of stock. Now this year any and all days of the week the store shelves looked pick over and many items out of stock. Its sad to see this happen. With Whole Foods, Fresh Market, Walmart, and the newly renovated Miramar Beach Winn-Dixie to compete with I hope the Destin Publix can turn itself around. The publix pharmacy is still a five star operation. It must be managed separate from the rest of the store.

Its like two different stores depending on the time of day you go. I often have to go in the morning to get creamer for my coffee when I forget. Most of the morning crew are like zombies and apparently need to drink some of their own coffee to perk up a bit. Afternoon and evening crews are AMAZING! Skip the morning, join the crowd and go in the afternoon.

If you need help with taking and loading your groceries, just ask and someone will gladly assist you. Food quality is superb but as with any mid sized store, they cant have everything. The aisles were a bit tight but well stocked. If you dont like the giant stores, this is a great place. Friendly and quick service too.

We had a sandwich order scheduled for 9:05. 8 sandwiches. Watched 10 walkup customers order and receive their orders while waiting 40 minutes late to receive our sandwiches. Molly the deli manager was quick to say sorry, but not help get the crew organized and get our sandwiches done.

Employees are all courteous and helpful. Store recently remodeled, is bright and cheery and always stocked. Usually no waiting at checkout. I dont enjoy shopping but Publix has done all they can to make it pleasurable.
