I just wanted to say what an excellent place this is to shop. Myself, my family, and many of my friends are "Japanophiles" and also just love Asian food and goodies in general, so this is the place for us! They have a large selection of weird items (pickled green duck eggs?) to very tasty items (Pocky, Ramune sodas, and too many other treats) and so much more. Anytime I need a fix, this is the place I go. Its very clean, the staff is always friendly, the store is always well stocked with so many items to choose from, and best of all - the prices are very reasonable. Everytime we go we come out with a couple sacks of items and always try something new. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a taste of other cultures at a decent price!

I went into Oriental Supermarket to buy Japanese food with my wife, who is full blood Japanese. And again we were disappointed in the quality of the food and the store itself. Almost every Japanese food item had been expired for over a year. The tea was there for so long that it had changed colors. Maybe nobody ever buys Japanese food there, because all the Korean food boxes where new and fresh. They do have rice, the same rice you can get anywhere else. The staff was very nice, but the condition of the store is just depressing. How much could styrofoam ceiling tiles cost? Almost all of them were brown from water damage. If your looking for Japanese selection look elsewhere. I cant speak for the other selections.

The dry goods here seemed okay. But everything I bought from the fridge (in factory sealed packages - I bought lots of japanese pickles) had picked up some nasty flavor and it all tasted like play-doh. The store itself is kinda dirty, and they keep it just above freezing in the winter. The staff, while nice, has no idea what youre asking for (first time I went, I asked for japanese pickles, they said they didnt have any but I found them myself the second visit).

おもに韓国食品のお店ですが、日本食材もあります。冷蔵品は多くないですが、冷凍品は魚介・肉・練り物などいろいろあります。ゲソ付きのイカ、タコもありました。個人的にはシカゴ製のキムチがおいしかったです。
