People say this is the best place to shop in Delaware for guns.....I can honestly say IT IS NOT! When you first go in everything looks awesome, they display everything so nicely, they have a huge selection of guns and ammo and targets surrounding you and you feel like you just landed in gun heaven. But looks arent everything. I went into the shop looking for a new concealed carry weapon. The guy at the counter tried selling me on the belief that all I needed was a .25 caliber mouse gun loaded with hollow points. Yeah right buddy! I saw another gun that I liked in .32, still not the best caliber but I needed something for deep pocket carry and I liked it so I asked for the price. He told me and I knew it was a bit steep and he wasnt willing to negotiate down a bit. I could have save almost $30 if I had gone to Millers but I bought it because I didnt know if Millers had one in stock and also I didnt feel like driving past my house twice that day. The next thing that shocked me was the cost of ammo! They were charging for the low end stuff $2 more a box than anywhere else and $4 a box more than higher grade FMJs! I bought just one box and bought the rest on Cheaper than dirt as .32 is harder to come by in this area. So I cleaned the gun and upon further inspection I noticed it had a great deal of wear like it had been abused or handled a lot! I went to the range the next day and the gun was a complete Jam-O-Matic! It has a 7 round magazine and I would get 2-6 failures to eject every time weather it was FMJ or Hollowpoint! I shot 3 kinds of ammo that day and 2 kinds were high end stuff! I sent it back to the Manufacturer who had to completely replace the gun it was in such bad shape! They said the guide rod was damaged, the slide had a lot of wear, the magazine release was defective and replaced EVERYTHING. The only good thing I got out of it was that they gave me a custom finish and frame color per my request and send me an extra free mag and pinky extensions which was very kind of them Props to Kel-Tec on that one! I stick to a store with fair prices and has done good buy me on many a gun deal, thats Millers Gun Center! X-Ring you have lost me as a customer forever so give yourself a pat on the back because thats about a $2,000-$3,000 yearly profit in Ammo, Supplies, and Guns you will never have from me!

UPDATED Service seemed great, we were there at nearing closing time, maybe 5-6pm. My friend got a really nice Beretta (not sure of the full model/name). Placed an order for a .22 1911, still waiting on a call back, they said it would take a few days, Ill update this review after my purchase is finalized. Update: Got a call yesterday to go pick up my Colt 1911 .22LR, was very excited, the transaction went smoothly. It has a very nice selection of guns and ammunition as well as attachments of all sorts from your standard pistol iron sights to sophisticated Scopes. There is also a clearance area with a few outdated items worth checking out if you’re looking for some rare or elusive items. I really like this store, it’s never too crowded and very well lit, it has a very mellow atmosphere I’ll be coming back when I feel confident enough to get a 9mm and later a .45 and then who knows what from there. On a side note, I was a little bit worried from reading the previous reviews of people saying they were profiled and what not, since I am Hispanic, but I have to say I did not feel anything of such everyone in the shop was very well mannered and helpful. X-Ring is also a family operated shop so expect to see the same faces every time you visit, this in my opinion is great because it allows you as a customer to establish a relationship with the employees making it feel a lot more welcoming after a few visits.

Ive been in there a few times to look at guns or buy ammo. Bob was the only guy who has ever showed any enthusiasm for selling or helping. I had a custom scope mounting project for my dads old marlin model 80. the first time i went in there i was shrugged off and told to call their gunsmith (who doesnt call back). being this store is right around my the corner from my house, i went back and finally got some help. and it was awesome. the guy Bob helped me out a lot... unless your buying an assault rifle, these people could care less. even then i get the feeling that they are far more superior to you Ive never been to millers, but at least they are willing to try and sell you stuff or lure you in over the phone. X-ring could care less. you can also tell the owner has posted a comment..the only 3 for 3 rating...Its amazing how everyone is saying the same thing about this place... UPDATE: They have done a complete turn around. These guys hustle and they are honest. kudos X-ring, I had my doubts.

I stopped in Jan. 2012 to inquire about a civilian taser. They do not sell tasers due to county laws but were VERY HELPFUL about how to acquire one as a MD resident. When interested in purchasing my first rifle, I decided to return to them since they were helpful and as I learned in my last visit had a VERY IMPRESSIVE INVENTORY too! I called first to inquire about selling to out of state customers, they gave me the answers and invited me up. Upon my arrival this Aug. 2012 I waited for other customers to be taken care of before me. Then was taken care of immediately in a COMFORTABLE, HELPFUL manner. They spent at least 15-20 min answering my questions and showing me different options for my price point and needs! It was a great experience in both my visits there and will surly be returning for future purchases! The rifle I went with was a H&K MP5! I love it! Thanks for the great gun and service guys! See you again soon!!

X Ring has survived years of drama and break-ins. They rised and flourished because they know what the customers want. They offered a great alternative for tactical-minded shoppers at a time when we did not have a good local outfitter for specific equipment, parts, and accessories. Sure, we have more choices online these days, however, Bob and his crew are knowledgeable and helpful. Their jobs are to offer the best tactical products and services, not serve fine wine and caviar. Contrary to popular belief, if a gun shop doesnt feel comfortable selling to someone, IT IS within their right, as a private company, to refuse service. Go elsewhere! I am a minority and an immigrant, I have never felt nor seen discrimination at X-Ring in the twenty years of knowing them. They are my choice destination in the entire northern Delaware, south PA area whenever I travel back to the region. Bar none.

Terrible Customer Service/ No Return Policy! Made approximately $300 in purchases from the store, one including a CMMG manufactured .22LR conversion for an AR-15. Unfortunately, when I tried using the conversion for the first time today, the first round fed and the second and subsequent rounds Failed to Feed. Expecting X-Ring to actually support the products they sell, I called looking for some help. The guy who answered the phone advised I try other ammo, and then told me if that didnt work, they had no return policy whatsoever. What a joke! Something I purchased for a good chunk of money failed to operate and they wont take it back?! So much for good customer service. I shouldve known that switching to another gun shop was a bad idea, looks like Ill be a Shooters Choice customer for life. X-Ring, learn to take care of your customers.
