A Private User

While I was browsing some items near the customer service desk, I overheard the youngster (couldnt have been more than 25!) talking on the phone. She was inquiring to a manager if she could be covered to take her 15 minute break. It was obvious she was denied because she said, "Thanks anyway" and hung up. She got this look of displeasure and dialed another number, however, that conversation ended up the same way. She tried again, this time asking for a person by name, "Is xxxx in the area?" When they were, she asked if they could cover her - however, they said they were too busy. "Are you going to be busy for a while? OK, thanks." I decided to be nosey and meandered towards their version of a cafe the "K-cafe" and lo and behold, there with a tag was xxxx sitting there eating and chit chatting with THREE other managers. I was so displeased I walked back up to the service desk, told the girl she should find a job where she was treated better and given her breaks legally and that I was never, ever returning to the store again. The managers were all either too lazy or too good to be bothered! How horrible. This isnt the only time Ive seen the desk people (or clerks) get stiffed on their breaks. And the girls only response was, I dont know what to do. Terrible!

It seems like the aisles are always being worked during prime-time shopping hours, the staff rarely has any idea of their own product/sales, and the location itself is in a time-pocket thats doomed to perpetually stay 1970. It also seems like the product they offer is ever-diminishing, to the point where -- on my last visit -- not only could I not find a sewing machine, but their main electronics section was little more than a husk of what it once was. An unfortunate place to shop, and an even worse place to work.

The inside of the store looks a little bit dated and the checkout process is lengthy. They ask you "Would you like to join sears rewards" (This is where you have to give them your email address) Well the girl at the check out counter got the email address wrong three times and there were 3 other people behind me. They should not ask customers if they want to join if there are lot of people in line... It only prolongs the wait to get thru checkout.

not professional, always, always have to check the receipt because their items that suppose to be on sale, never ring up the sale price . they gave me a coupon for my birthday, spend so much, then you get five dollars off, you can stick that up your you know what. the girl said had to be certain amount, on certain stuff,,bla bla bla,,, hate this store, i only come here now in emergency s...so very rare, i rather travel to walmart.

Only shop here once or twice a year as the only one near us. I like merchandise and prices. However everything else is the same everytime if not worse . Old, untidy, and bathrooms disgusting. Customer service is bad. All cashiers talk amongst themselves instead of with customers. Had an item with no tag, I actually had to run back myself to get another. Never saw person that was to do price check. Also registers are down alot.

horrible customer service by a lady named luisa or lissa something like that, she has short blonde hair with red mixed in her hair. I went to buy jewelry and she didnt even say hello,or anything, she had a very unpleasant face, as if she hates her job I was treated very rude. thats all I can say I will never shop here again. I hope someone talks to her and make her respect customers because she is there because of us.

Horrible. Customer service is slim to none. Lights went out and so did registers Youd expect that from a mom and pop shop not a Fortune 500 company. Employees seemed more concerned about weekend plans than making sure customers were satisfied and properly taken care of. If you want to be treated better than this place I recommend an abandon warehouse. At least then you know what your getting into

Found a old restaurant inside this, but the store seems more like the 80s than anything today. Im surprised at how much more stock there is here than at other K-Marts, but it still lags behind many other stores like Wal-Mart or Stop and Shop. I personally feel this store is on the verge of closing at this rate.

I enjoy it reminded me of Ames or Caldors yikes Im old, but really I like stores that are smaller then Walmart its easier to get in and out, plus with the same discounts Im pleasantly pleased. They send a lot of money saving coupons to me as well. Location is good too lots to do in this area.

I do like this Kmart and it is one of the older ones but luckily, it has no competition so Wal-Mart is in Manchester CT. Luckily, its not closing. This Kmart looks like it you traveled in time to the 1990s when Kmart was bigger than Wal-Mart and if you were in the Bennys in Smithfield RI.

Its a Kmart. Hours are good and the employees are helpful. The aisles arent clearly labeled so its a bit of scavenger hunt to find a specific item if you dont have time to peruse.
