Got my first ever nose piercing by Lari. The procedure seemed to have went okay, my nose bled a lot, but it was all over very fast. So fast that I didnt get ANY info on aftercare until I remembered to ask before leaving. Things were ok until a few days afterwards when my stud began sinking in to my nose. I went back to get it exchanged for a longer one but was told theyd have to order some (why didnt they have these things in stock??) and Id be contacted in a week (this never happened by the way). I was then told in the meantime I should take my stud out, let the hole close and theyd re-pierce it again free of charge.That was the last thing I wanted. So I went to another piercing shop and the piercer looked at my nose and told me that the wrong needle had been used to pierce it because the hole was too big and should have never bled as much as it had. They exchanged my stud for a longer one very easily, gave me great advice on how to care for the swelling, etc and my piercing has been fine ever since. TL;DR I didnt have a good experience here, wasnt really helped out when I had issues with my piercing, and would not come back here.

About a year ago my wife got her first tattoo with Eddie Shaw. She had a concept of what she wanted and Eddie worked with her on placement and size. He was (and is) a total professional with the process and we were delighted with the result. Since then we have been back to Spirt Gallery Tattoo EIGHT times for additional work with Eddie! I started with a design on the left side of my chest which has literally grown to a half sleeve and incorporates my shoulder and upper back. Again, all the work has been done by Eddie Shaw. My wife had two additional tattoos done by Eddie and we recently took our daughter to the shop for her first ink! She had a unique little design done on the back of her shoulder and a swimming related design done on her hip. I also had some piercings done by Lari. He too is a total professional. He clearly explained what he was doing and why. Placement was perfect. I would absolutely recommend him if you want a piercing done. Spirt Gallery Tattoo is the place to go for tattoos and piercings without a doubt.

Commitment to the craft of tattoo as art. This is in evidence as half of the studio is an art gallery. My wife and I have have gotten several tattoos here. We have had nothing short of complete satisfaction. Most of our tattoos have come from Blaze. Let me tell you she is an amazing artist both in her tattooing and her oils that she has displayed in the studio. One tattoo that Blaze has done on me, is an octopus that takes up most of my right arm (check it out on the Spirit Gallery web site). In my travels I have had so many people ask where I got that tattoo. Some of those people have been tattoo artists. But the respect for tattooing goes beyond the artistic ability of the artists there. You can see it in the cleanliness of the studio, the effort put into providing excellent service, and the ethics which they practice. I think that the highest compliment I can give to this studio is that if my children ever want to get tattooed, I will tell them to go to Spirit Gallery.

My husband and I came in, in mid September for tattoos by a traveling artist. From beginning to end the entire experience was wonderful. I felt wanted and accepted. We each had 8 hour sittings, so we had tons of down time to really get to know the staff. We drove 8 hours to be there. I would drive 30 hours if it meant spending my time with them again. The studio was exceptionally clean, the staff was friendly, and the studio itself was far from a normal tattoo studio. I enjoyed every moment. Lari, the manager, is one of the most incredibly warm people I have ever encountered. I left the shop feeling like I walked away with a life long friend. We will be back again next year, and I look forward to it. I am glad to support a small local business, and hope that others will read this review and realize this is a place to meet wonderful people while getting exceptional work. Hands down the best experience Ive had in a very long time. New London is also the cutest little town!

The first thing you notice about Spirit Gallery is the name. It really fits the shop and its artists. You walk in to a super relaxing atmosphere with no "flash" on the walls but paintings local artists have done. You are greeted with smiles. Then after you have shared what you are thinking of having tattooed they match you with the artist to draw it up. I have had work done by the original owner Blaze and George an artist there now. LOVE it! They really know the skin and how it should be worked. My daughter has had 2 piercings and they were so knowledgeable on after care. Placement was perfect! I have interviewed other shops in the area and this is the shop I feel was the cleanest, most knowledgeable, and talented in the area. They are also connected with Pandoras Box a shop with unique gifts you have to see to believe. A bit freaky but who doesnt enjoy a touch of that! Stop in and say Hi you will be glad you did.

spirit gallery tattoo is one of the best places I have ever been. I went down to Connecticut to gamble at mohegan wity 8 of my girlfriends, one of the things we were planning to do was get tattoos. We called spirit and the owner Lari answered the phone initial and surprisingly was one of the nicest people to talk to over the phone about tattoos. Most places wont give you the time of day over the phone. After the initial phone call we headed down to his place. I immediately got great vibes which is key getting a tattoo in a new place. I got my tattoo done by German who by the way is a man of few words but he is extremely focused. He did such an amazing job that I came back the following day to see German who once again blew me away with his work. I couldnt say enough great things about this place to the point that I live over 2 hours away and will travel to see German to do all my work. Check them out.

Went there for a Daith Piercing specifically for migraine headache relief. I was very impressed that Lari was familiar with the benefits, and was nervous but eager to give it a try. The piercing suite was incredibly clean, and all the instruments were wrapped. Lari was very informative and talked me through the whole process. Even though I read multiple horror stories of how painful this piercing can be, I can honestly say that I did not find it painful at all! Lari was quick, professional and very knowledgeable! As for the migraine headache relief....before the post was even pulled through my headache went away! This is a miracle to me! I have been a daily migraine sufferer for over 2 years and after Lari finished my piercing, I was headache free! I highly recommend Spirit Gallery....and definitely recommend Lari for a piercing!
