Absolutely abysmal customer service. I called to ask if they had a book in stock. I was told I would have to come in person to check if they had particular books available. I was asked how many books I was looking for. I replied that I was only looking for one book for my afternoon class. Then the woman on the line hung up on me. For the future, I will be going out of my way to acquire my books and supplies elsewhere. At the cost of inconvenience, I will not be paying a cent to this bookstore. One of the few advantages a physical bookstore can claim over online purchasing options is the presence of human beings to engage with and assist customers. While the bookstore may subsist by leveraging its convenient location to get students to purchase overpriced textbooks, I will take my business elsewhere.

Yale University Bookstore has undergone massive changes in their Purchasing Dept. over the last 4 years. If a shopper revels in poor craftmanship, cheap synthetic materials and over pricing, this is the place to go! I spent upwards of 2 hours at this store only to leave with a simple Yale mug. What a complete waste of time and taxi fare! There was not a single piece of decent merchandise to be found! To add insult to injury, a lot of the apparel merchandise was dirty! Way To Go Yale Bookstore!!! You have secured a worthy place in the Annals of American Merchants Have Gone To CRAP!

If your a student, dont rent books from them, they will send you used book & when you return they deem them un-rentable & charge you $300 a book!! way more then they retail it for on their own website! When I asked for help to discount the already used book price they said I had to pay & my book had been destroyed! Yea right! Never again people, if the rental price seems too good to be true it is they will get their money! Buyer beware!!!!

Its also known as the Yale Bookstore. Good location, a Starbucks with an excellent wi-fi, and an excellent selection of books to browse. Prices are a little high for both the books and Starbucks but they offer a lot in return.
