I am really frustrated with this pharmacy. Two years ago, we got hospice care for my father. Hospice has an exclusive contract with JB. We had no prior experience with the pharmacy, and we liked the fact that they delivered dads medications. The day before my father died, he couldnt take pills any longer, and he was in extreme pain and very agitated. Our hospice nurse called JB and told them to bring out liquid meds for him, saying it was urgent. That was early in the morning. We waited and waited for the delivery, and I called them several times, trying to find out where it was. By the time they finally showed up, in the afternoon, I was pacing in front of the house, crying. We got the liquid meds into dad, and he quieted right down and died peacefully several hours later. But that period of waiting was just terrible. Jump forward two years. Now my mother is in hospice care. We were willing to give JB the benefit of a doubt. We knew there had been complaints about their service, and we figured that in two years surely things had gotten better. But their deliveries this past month have been horrendous. Our hospice nurse visits in the morning, and I always listen to him call the orders in. By 3:00 in the afternoon, the delivery still hasnt come. Every. Single. Week. I have to call hospice and, sometimes, the pharmacy, to track down where it is because they only deliver up to a certain time in the evening. One week, an LPN from hospice had to go pick up a critical medication and bring it to us because JB never delivered it. The past two weeks, they delivered the medications late in the day, after several follow-up calls, and then when we got them, a medication was missing. JB claimed, both times, that they never got the orders. Ahem. I was standing right there when the nurse ordered them. It happened again this past Friday, but the delivery came too late to do anything about it. Thank goodness, in this case, it wasnt a critical medication. We finally got it this morning, three days later. Other weeks, though, it HAS been critical meds: morphine, nitro, blood thinner. They never apologize and have a complacent, frustrating attitude about their terrible customer service. Its never their fault. I dont know if JB management feels untouchable because they have a contract and just dont give a damn about their poor dying patients, or whether theyre just incompetent. Either way, its the hospice patients and their families who suffer.

Best pharmacy in town. Never have to wait. They know you by name. No long lines. Very personable. Who on earth would want to go anywhere else?
