The Staff Is Unpleasant To An Extreme: I work for a law firm and we purchased $130.00 work of goods from the store for an attorneys new baby. The sales staff was both unhelpful and some what contempt-full in the store and when we called to complete the transaction, the sales associate (her name was Anne) was particularly unpleasant; and while the decade website quite clearly states that every purchase is eligible for free gift wrapping as I quote " Our gift to you" apparently a $130+ in store purchase is only good for a stamped brown paper bag. As a secondary note a friend of mine just purchased a large dresser/secretary from them, it is very cute. We spent an hour going through the store looking and debating each and every piece of furniture, eventually settling on the secretary. When we went to find a sales person, she seemed put out by the idea that we wanted to purchase furniture (because she would then have to move the display goods off of it). We asked if there was any other furniture that was available but not for display and the sales person responded that there was but she couldnt remember exactly, she thought there was a table and chairs... but directly after my friend had paid for the dresser, that same sales woman then decided to let us know that more pieces had been expected in that day and the selection would be better in Monday, and that all furniture was nonreturnable; why she couldnt have told us this in the first place I am unsure, we probably would have waited a day and come back to see the full collection of furniture. After we purchased the dresser/secretary instead of helping my 51 friend and I load the heavy thing; the sales ladies simply placed it on the side walk, in front of the store and promptly forgot all about us. We had to stop traffic on Broadway while attempting to lift the furniture into her car. To say that their customer service is lacking is a complete understatement. While Decade provides a unique array of goods and furniture, I dont believe the catty, unhelpful staff are worth the trouble in most cases.

In todays economy it is as important to me how I am treated as what I am buying. Decade definitely has some great stuff but their service is so bad that I wouldnt give them my money if they were selling get of jail free cards. I was recently in the store to purchase a birthday gift for my wife and I had several things picked out. I was looking for one last item. They had something similar but not quite exactly what I was looking for, so I asked for help. Now if you have ever been in the store you know how much stuff they have, and how cluttered it is. Jimmy Hoffas body could be in there and you wouldnt find it. When I asked for help the woman behind the counter responded rudely that everything they had was on the floor and then walked away. So I placed the items I had picked out on the counter and left. By the way, I asked the exact same question at Cry Baby Ranch and although "everything they had was on the floor" they were very nice and helpful and showed me something else that I ultimately bought. Good luck Decade. If you decide to treat customers better let me know and I would be happy to come back.

To begin, Ive held fond memories of this shop. It was always such a pleasure to explore this store which seemed never-ending! I can recall spending a good amount of time looking in all the corners / crannies with my mom. Today did not feel the same. There was nothing warm or welcoming. I walked in and three women, Im assuming employees were all up front at the counter. No one said hi. Merely stared at me. I felt like a child again! With all my old, distant aunts looking down on me for interrupting their conversation. I walked maybe 10 steps in and I had to get out! I was carrying a bag from a previous shop and I immediately felt like I had done something wrong. I dont think Ive ever felt so uncomfortable in shop but more particulatly, South Broadway strip! I didnt realize they had mens clothing and all three of them piped in to let me know! By that time, I sure as hell didnt want to buy anything from them. I love South Broadway for its community but Decade is its own island.

Decade has a great assortment, it would be hard to leave without finding at least one item. I had been pre-warned about how terrible the service is but was interested in checking out the store anyway. I walked through the store and was not acknowledged once. When I asked one of the three ladies for assistance with a gift she seemed very put off by my asking. When I had found several gifts to purchase I waited at the counter for 15 minutes to check out but was ignored and left without buying anything. I am writing this because as most, I love to support local businesses and this one has a lot to offer but I am afraid they are decreasing their sales drastically by giving terrible service. I hope this review reaches the owners as I am sure he/she does not want to alienate clients and miss out on business. This is a small town and word of mouth is extremely important.

DECADE is virtually the only store I go to when I need to find a gift because packed in this little store (its amazing how many wonderful things they manage to get in there) they have a little bit of everything (including gifts for baby, weddings, birthdays..and more.) Everything they have is unique, the best of its kind (omg, the candles and lotions are amazing) and not crazy expensive. Everytime I go (its fun to pop in just to see what new theme they created) theres something new to discover. They also have really cool clothes for men and women by great designers like Billabong and Kensie. Ive shopped at DECADE since they opened over 20 years ago and I will continue as long as their doors are open!

One of the greatest boutiques in Denver. Despite what some of these reviews say, Ive had excelent customer service for the 5+ years that Ive shopped here. You can always find unique gifts for him or her, for home decor, clothing, and childrens gifts. The owner says hello every time I stop in. I would highly recommend stopping in as youll find a gift for every occation for any person. Thanks Kris.

This is a wonderful store with an endless selection of fun things to purchase for any occasion. If I lived in Denver I would be a regular customer. The owner is a friendly guy who really cares about taking good care of his customers. If you are shopping for yourself or looking for a great gift Decades has it somewhere in this fun store. Costs are reasonable quality is excellent!
