My wife and I are new to visiting pistol ranges, and we are in the process of making a new pistol purchase for the each of us. We read some of the reviews, and we felt unqualified to judge the experiences that others had before us. We decided to scout out the TR&P, and we are very happy we visit their shop. I was in the army for 8 years, so I am not new to pistols. My wife has only fired our brother-in-laws pistols once, so she is a little clueless. A staff member named Johnny was very courteous to my wife and I, and he suggested we try their range with the pistol that my wife wants to purchase (Springfield XDS 9mm). Since we already completed the Range safety video online before our visit, Johnny had us in the range very fast. (I highly recommend that you utilize their website for this process to speed up the process at their shop.) The cost for both of us, which included: eye protection, ear plugs, ammo, 2 targets, and a rental weapon came to approximately $67. (You get to keep the ear plugs and glasses.) They have a decent looking membership that seems to be the best deal. The range has 10 firing lanes with tables and chairs off the firing line. Visit their website to see a video of the actual shooting lane. The only thing I wish was different was the size and amount of accessories in their shop. (Not the biggest selection) It was a great experience, and my wife was very excited about our upcoming purchase. We look forward to seeing our new friend Johnny, and meeting others on their staff. I highly recommend the TR&P for newbies like the wife and I.

Awesome place, first timers to the range like myself i recommend the groupon they have going on atm 10/28/16 its a great deal for two people you can choose whatever caliber (thats rentable) and ammo you must pay separately. Which is totally fine with me since target ammo is relatively cheap. THEY DO GIVE A MILITARY DISCOUNT for those wondering. Erin was a great deal of help when i decided on purchasing a firearm there and i dont remember the big guys name with the beard he was welcoming as well and processed the begining of our range outing. She answered all my questions without belittling me as a newcomer. And was very cheerful and very multitask capable.(two people were doing there FSC test and one of them was buring an ar. I highly recommend this place but be warned the location is a tad hidden when we went. Lots of construction and lumber yards in the area. So be aware of your gps and surrounding when traveling there if you are coming out of town. TLDR; great place great service awseome deals

well i am very satisfied with this store they have been nothing but wonderful since day one and today i had to basically get my money back that i put down on a ak i had on lay away because my stupid ass car broke down and i had to fix it so i went in and spoke with an employee named garet i explained my situation and he refunded my down payment with out hassle i was very pleased with there service and will continue to make all my future firearms purchases at this location IVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS AND CAN SAY ITS ONE OF THE BEST GUN STORES IV BEEN IN ALL THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY AND VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE unlike those assholes at shotgun johnnys

Went today with friend to shoot , been treated badly " very bad " very rude staff , changing is it needed Lane every 10 minute And telling me " if you dont like it leave or we can kick you out " for a very respectful paying customer, discused this behaviour with other staff and his comment was " thats how we are " well they took my money before interning the range , I staid just for 15 minutes and left !!! I would not recommend any of you spending your hard earned money in place like this ! I was surprised, they probably racist because me and my buddy have foreigner accent ! Was a bummer

first time I have ever been in tracy rifle and pistol.....staff is beyond great. very helpful, very knowledgable, and very friendly. my daughter bought a gun from another gun store and they took care of her problem post haste. they didnt charge me for their time or service. I really wish they had, I was beyond pleased. a little customer service goes along way. they have my business and i highly recommend them to anyone. by all means go there. you will not be disappointed. I wish i could remember the name of the man who helped me. kudos to him and tracy rifle and pistol.

I have purchased two firearms at TRAP. Their sales staff is top notch; very knowledgeable but without the arrogance that you get at many gun stores. They were able to answer any questions I had without pressuring me into a particular purchase. They have good firearm pricing, and an absolutely excellent inventory. Their ammunition pricing (particularly defensive ammunition) is quite a bit higher than what you can find online, but that isnt unexpected for a brick and mortar shop. I intend to return to TRAP for my future purchases, and would highly recommend them.

The staff is great and very helpful. You never get talked down to for lack of knowledge. Ive purchased two weapons from them as well as numerous FFL transactions. Each staff member knows the laws and will consult with you, they also get your paperwork completed efficiently in a transfer/sale. The range is beautiful and the fans/filters are always running so its not cloudy (like many others Ive been to in the tri-valley). I have yet to have a less than awesome experience here. Also, the membership benefits are great!

Glad to see young guys reaching a desired market in a tough economy. They know their stuff, keep current, and are patient and helpful. Purchased a Walther p99 and the process was courteous and professional. Great price, btw. I will be taking all my private party transfers to them because the stores in my area are no longer pleasant, courteous, nor professional. Also sending all my collector, hunting, and shooting buddies to this store! Keep up the good work, men!

I like the range, but we put our name down and we where told that it was a 30 min wait. So we left to get coffee and came back like 5 minutes later and they said its a 45- an hour wait. So we waited, after 30 min we ask only to find out they never took our name and where not even on a list. So a total wait of about an hour and they where just letting people jump us in line. Other than that the people are cool and they have a lot of gear.

Great place to shoot. 1 round per sec rule unlike other shooting range 1 round per 5 sec rule. Friendly staff members. I was just looking for guns and 1 staff came up and offer me to check it out. Started describing the pros and cons of the gun while it was on my hand giving me enough info for my next purchase. He even offered me to test it out on their range but i was done shooting for the day. I will definitely test it out next time.
