Been shopping at this store since it first opened under another name. The first store was a real local affair. At the time did volunteer work for a Veterans group call "The Flower of the Dragoon" the owners even donated money and job offerings to this veterans for veterans group. My youngest son worked one summer before heading to college at this store. The new, corporate changes lately in a few ways increased public attention, but the pricing has also increased noticeably as well. As a customer from day one, the obvious improvements I thought significant was unionizing of the employees and the low, walmart level generic prices for drugs. [which only lasted a couple of weeks sadly] Bottom line, the best asset for this store is the employees. The guys/gals in the vegetables, the chicken/meat department folks and the female cashiers. They make this old guy feel welcome, and most important this 68 year old veteran, I can depend on the older employees to know where everything is, and they do.

this store has very poor security, security is needed to store. the majority customers this store consist of illegal Mexican aliens which makes this store not safe to shop! you have to watch out for pick pocketers purse snatchers from the intoxicated drunk illegal Mexicans that roam around inside the store, illegal Mexicans open up products eat some of the products and stick it back on the shelf. ready for your family to eat and get sick from Salmonella germs are on a illegal Mexican aliens hand! A 14 year old girl was groped and fondled in this store! and there is no security available at all!!!. none what so ever do not recommend going to this store you will get sick or pick pocketed or your car will be broke into when you come out of store!! And there is always beggars and phony donation collectors standing by the exit to harass you on the way out the door dont recommend this store shopping to anyone except for illegal Mexican aliens!

The fresh produce is really the main reason I shop here. They go through it so quickly that you rarely find things going bad. I really enjoy a wide variety of fruits and veggies and their selection is decent. In the past, Ive been to popular grocery chains and found soft parsnips or a lack of yellow/orange bell peppers because their customers do not consume such foods. While Im at Food Maxx, I generally buy many other items, as well. They dont have gourmet or higher end foods, so I still go to Trader Joes or occasionally Olivers for such things. The downside to Food Maxx is the lines take a long time, it tends to be busy when I go which is before and after work (7:30 am or between 4:30-6:30) and there are often unattended children running around (dont get me wrong, I love kids but when Im shopping I want to get in and get out). They rarely open up new lanes to help get you out.

I remember when FoodMaxx used to be nothing but apple orchards and there was not much to Highway 12 other than four lanes to an alert Direction no overpasses existed at that time until a friend of mine got ran over Crossing after school and then another one got hit and another which is when I finally started rethinking the safety and making changes. Thats back when I learned how to buy at least one months worth of groceries all at once and under 60 bucks or so! crazy that that might feed family now a days for a week for lucky! Man I miss the privilege of having food stamps

I go here occasionally instead of Safeway cause its so close...big mistake every time. Terrible parking, overcrowded, messy, and horrific wait times while waiting to check out. Just today I waited over a half hour to purchase a dozen items! I dont let my wife go there after dark because of the countless transients hanging out day and night (night worse cause there is awful parking lighting). And to touch on what other people said, prices are not significantly cheaper (except produce) than Safeway. Save yourself the trouble and drive someplace else!

Great prices, good product selection and availability, excellent customer service at checkout, shelves are always stocked with care. However, the new restrooms are terrible. The stalls are too small to get into, and it is hard to close the door once you are in; the toilet paper dispenser is too low; the handicapped restroom is excessively large, and the restrooms go unchecked for hours. So I give them a three because I use the restrooms more than once while Im there shopping.

First, the FoodMaxx produce is almost always of good or excellent quality. The parking and long lines can sometimes be annoying but this is a result of excellent products at bargain prices. FoodMaxx serves a huge need for many of us on fixed incomes since we cant all afford to shop @ Trader Joes, Safeway, or Whole Paycheck Market on a regular basis, if ay all. So, do what I do and dont shop at peak times, weekends or holidays if you can avoid it.

The produce department is okay, there are some items I would say is cheaper than regular stores but not by much. Unless of course youre going to Olivers all the time then the price difference is huge. I would say this place is a larger version of grocery outlet and the meat is okay as well. Its incredibly busy all the time so if youre in a rush this is not the place to go. Lines are always long and self check out is also long.

Everytime I come in here, there are checkout lines that are a mile long and only 3 check stands open. Its ridiculous. I understand its a busy store, but for that simple reason there should be way more cashiers in open check stands. Groceries may be cheaper, but the time it takes me to get in and get out, totally not worth the few bucks I save.

Open 24/7, great produce/organic section, huge selection, bulk goods, specials, liquor, camping/bbq supplies, otc medicinals/grooming aids, greeting cards, friendly staff, good prices, ethnic foods, cooking supplies, warehouse style, easy to find restrooms, ready to eat roasted chickens, baked goods, water refills, ice, movie rentals, propane.

Most of the time the veggies are fresh, there are definitely times you have to examine what youre getting to get a good product. Because of the populace they cater to the variety available and gets replenished often. For example: I know that when I want chayote squash or ginger that theyll most likely have it in, new. Great bang for your buck

Place is open 24/7 and has a pretty good selection of food but some stuff is lacking like their makeup aisle. Bathrooms are much to be desired, I dont remember their bathrooms ever being spotless. Soap and toliet seat coverings were out. The toliet seat looked like someone wiped their butt on the toliet seat.

Im a night owl, and I love shopping here in the small hours of the morning. The store has everything I need, a great produce section, and really good prices. I do try to avoid during the day, because it is very popular with people stocking up, so the lines have very full carts and move slowly.

The STORE is fine. Its all the DUMB PEOPLE that cant figure out how to pay for their dang food that ruins it. Is it the first theyve ever bought anything in their lives??? Id rather drive farther and pay more at raleys to have to wait behind these clowns. Takes longer to check out than shop
