Manual Marin/ Manny Marin Jr. makes it hard to "support your local print shop". I began working with Printing on 5th in 2014 when I needed some print work done for my work and then again in 2015. During that time, I had felt confident in that if I ever needed a print job done, I have a local shop with high customization that cared about their customers. This has changed. I would not recommend this print shop for anyone, and they will never earn my business. Working with Chris has always been a pleasure, however, trying to work with Manual Martin/Manny Martin JR has been very discouraging. He was unenthusiastic and showed no real interest in my most recent project, didnt answer my questions, and was fast to dismiss my current project while referencing "if you need future help contact us...". "Support your local shop/print shop"??? Thats hard to do. If anything small shops may not have control over quantities, prices, location, and so many other things...but one thing every small shop has control over is GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE....If you cant offer that then you might as well be putting yourself out of business....and if a local shop wants to survive then their customer service has to be BEYOND GOOD to compete in todays market; if you continue this method of negative customer service you may as well assist in shutting down your own operation as well because that is exactly what you are doing. Also he quoted me $3.75 a piece for something other shops are doing with higher quality for $.80 a piece; no brainer I went with them.

As the marketing director for a fast growing company, having a printing shop that can deliver with tight time-lines and last minute changes is crucial. My company has been using Printing on 5th for more then 2 years for all of our printing needs and they do a fantastic job. Theyve printed everything from sell sheets, to promotional collateral, to banners and more - all meticulously done. Manny and Nancy are great at communicating with us when were under pressure for time and they always double check specs for us to make sure no mistakes are made. I own a restaurant down the street and have used Printing on 5th for a number of jobs, big and small, from menus to t-shirts to signage. Chris and Manny have always been a pleasure to deal with, quick to respond and get things done in a timely matter. I recently had them make some vinyl window lettering, which Ive never used before. They came down to the restaurant themselves to put it up to make sure it went on right. Ideal little neighborhood shop for your printing projects. The kind of place that makes you feel like your a partner on a project, rather than one end of a transaction.

I dont know what shop Cheryl walked into, but it was obviously not Printing on 5th. I am a graphic arts student and I came in asking a bunch of questions and they were happy to help me with everything I needed. I will definitely come back and recommend this shop to other people. I tend to stay away from corporate places like kinkos and fed ex. I try to support local businesses and this seems like a business I can trust.
