This is for the pharmacy. I rarely post a negative review, but I am hoping to catch the attention of the powers that be at this Walgreens. There is something wrong here. The pharmacy, owing to inadequate staffing is always overloaded. The drive up window can has two dispensing areas so two rows of cars can line up, however one is ALWAYS closed, so the 6-7 cars in a single line block the entrance to the parking lot. There will certainly be an accident soon. It is not uncommon to wait 20 minutes to pick up a prescription that is pre filled and waiting for you. The staff (who are very nice!) are always overloaded, harried, and it is clear that they are stressed out. Since they have such a HIGH VOLUME, why cant they STAFF ACCORDINGLY and open both lanes at the drive up!!!?? I think its PROFIT, MONEY, which is wrong. Especially since they are the company that forced the closure of every other small pharmacy in San Carlos (there were 4-5 when I moved here in 93) I hope I can remove this terrible review someday.

I feel so bad but I am mad! I totally agree with Jeffrey Phillips. The pharmacy staff is awesome and trying their best, but they are horribly overworked and the wait is miserable. I have to wait in line to drop off my new prescription - why dont they open the Drop Off window? I get calls that my prescription is ready, I go down to pick it up, wait in line minimum of 15 minutes only to find out that they didnt fill my prescriptions because there was an issue. I understand the issue, it is insurance and not their fault, but DONT TELL ME IT IS READY. I have to leave, come back and wait again. My advice, take the staff out of the make up area and add them to the pharmacy.

I needed to get a digital passport photo taken and was told by the man serving me that they could only put it on a CD. When I said my laptop doesnt have a CD drive and could we do USB instead, he said no. When I asked if he could just email it to me, he said no. He was not willing to help me try and solve my problem or willing to accept any fault that Walgreens uses an archaic form of digital storage, just horrible customer service. When laptops stop including CD drives it might be time to update your methods. We are in Silicon Valley right?

Affordable Care Act has increased the number of prescriptions being filled and many pharmacies, including this one, struggle to keep up. Customers often do not understand their prescription or their Health Care plan, resulting in long discussions with the pharmacy staff. And very long wait lines. Pharmacy technicians at this store are polite and work really hard, but they seem understaffed and not up to the challenge of servicing hundreds of customers per day.

Totally agree that the pharmacy service is horrible. It has gotten worse over the past couple of years. It appears something has changed. I will be contacting the manager first thing in the morning. There is no reason to be trying to service over 800 customers while being short staffed. I will take this to the corporate office if necessary.

Completely hate this place now. Thank the pharmacy staff working on 2-17-12 for that. You all suck at your job you are rude. Never going to Walgreens again. I have options maybe your staff should act like it. I hope you all get fired. Complete trash. Thanks for not taking my new insurance too you garbage sorry excuse for a pharmacy!

Pharmacist was really nice. Took care of my prescription quickly in the middle of the night. Only thing that was less than fantastic was the hoard of homeless people surrounding it. One man was sitting in front of the doors asking for money. :/

One of the only 24 hr pharmacies in the area. Most health places locally can send scripts here (even if it late). Has a large makeup area (not into that, but never seen it before). Friendly staff, easy to get to.

Find another place to get your prescription filled. Took three hours for a simple antibiotic.
