I purchased a Duralast Gold battery about a year ago. Theres supposed to be a 5-yr warranty on the battery, so when my car was acting up ("battery saver on" and "check charge system") I brought my car to AutoZone for a diagnosis. They said the voltage was low and switched out my battery for a refurbished battery. A few days later I had the same issue. Battery saver on and check charge system were showing on the dashboard. They charged up the battery, ran diagnostics and didnt find anything wrong (I was concerned about the alternator but the employee said it was fine). Today, as I was driving I got the same messages. Ten minutes away from home and in the middle of traffic, all of my power cut out. No ac, nothing on the dashboard, no power steering. I had to manually force the car into a nearby parking lot. When AAA jump-started the car, it turned on, seeming fine. He said he would follow me home with the tow truck in case my car died again. Unfortunately I wasnt able to get the car moving...no power steering. The AAA employee said that it was definitely the battery and that I needed to switch it out. Who knows what AutoZone will do about it. This isnt just inconvenient, this is downright dangerous. I will post an update after going back to AutoZone.

I knew that when my car would pause before starting that I was going to need a new battery soon. One day later it wouldnt start. After asking a neighbor to jump start my car, I headed directly to Autozone. They were very helpful in helping me select a new battery and since they werent that busy, they even installed it for me. Ten minutes later I was on my way. And for 1/3 the price that the dealer would have charged. Thank you, Autozone!
