Hi guys , this review applies only for rent to buy (not for Hertz certified). I booked 2014 Corolla and was waiting for it a week. Whole week while I was waiting for it Hertz called me almost every day simply saying that I will receive confirmation call that the car is ready it did not happen though... Nobody called and I called them , they said that the car is ready I came all the way from Walnut Creek to South Hayward. We started the process verification etc. The guy said : let me pull the paper work , I was waiting and accidentally saw that the guy who supposed to bring the paperwork was eating with all hertz stuff, no problem just do not lie. I would not mind if he just said let me finish my lunch. Finally he brings the keys and walks me to the car , and the car that I booked was grey , but at the fact there was a green one. Then all the Hertz stuff starts pretend like nobody knows how this happened and they simply started ignore me. I was not renting the car I tried to purchase trough Rent to Buy service. It is not a rocket science make sure at least that the VIN number matches with the color. I was so disappointed . I will never use any Hertz services and my personal suggestion never buy a car trough rent to buy from south Hayward location or if anywhere. The prices are extremely cheap but do not waist your time go to the dealer please !!!

I picked up the car at San Ramon as part of their Rent2Buy program. As part of the due diligence, I to a mechanic - Found that the oil filter was lose and we had to put 2.5 quarts of engine oil! Other fuels were also not topped off. Still, the car was in a good condition so I bought it but it was a surprise that they wont even prep the car right. I had no problems with the sales staff at the Hayward location, but to be fair, I have to be honest and review the whole "package" i.e. total rent2buy experience.

Bought a car here, within the first 3 months I noticed the front fender and bumper were coming loose. Brought it in to have them look at it. The dealer told me I should just glue it down? If Im spending 15,000 on a car from you guys I dont think I should have to glue my bumper back into place. Anyways Im gonna try to contact the manager again to see what we can do to resolve the problem. But so far for experience 1 star

John was awesome.I called him and told him if he still had the Ford Fiesta he said yes.So I told him if u can get me out in one hour you got a deal. In 50 min he got me out. The good thing I like about him he was not pushy he listen to me what I wanted.I told him what payments I wanted and he said no problem will do my best.He did. I love the car and happy with the payments. Thank you John.

Customer service is excellent. I worked with Johnny. He called me immediately after I sent an email showing my interest in a car I had seen. He immediately gave me info regarding financing and got it approved. I went to get the car in a few days and service in person was professional, caring and friendly. It is the best experience I ever had purchasing a car.

I was told I was approved for financing then they went back and forth on the approval and Pressured me into buying add on insurances without explaining the contract to me. Then they called the next day and said I had to bring the car back in so they could verify the vin number, but no one in office knew about it. Ended up returning the car.

This hertz dealership is one of the worst dealers you will ever go to. The dealers are dishonest about their cars and wont tell you if something is wrong with a car. Make sure your car has been fully serviced before you buy or rent.
