Most employees are fairly knowledgeable. For most people who arent very mechanically inclined they are able to provide a fair amount of information and advice. The only problem I have is that Ive been a mechanic most of my life and occasionally the folks that work there will try to talk to me like I dont know what Im talking about at all. Other than that, its a good establishment with employees that seem to want to help to the best of their ability.

My truck broke down a few miles away the gal I spoke with was extremely helpful and went out of her way making sure they had the part on the shelf and before I hired a TAXI to get to the store. My steering wheel got locked and the ignition key would not turn. I researched on the web and realized that this is a common problem and in some case need a couple of 100 bucks to fix. The associate at Auto Zone - Folsom helped me fix it in 2 mins!! Thanks guy, you made my day!

Much less expensive than going to auto dealers. Service people just look up the parts on computer and come up with what is needed for your car. Mechanic recommended getting parts here, so that if a part was not needed, it could be returned easily, instead of mailing online.

I had to change the battery in my A3 and it was a pain finding the right battery. The battery in the system was not the correct size, etc. The employees there were very helpful and friendly to get me out of there with the correct battery.
