I was really unimpressed with this store. Im new to the area and have been trying to find the best bang for my buck in the Fair Oaks area for groceries... I have been here once, and have already vowed to never return. First issue: All the hard liquor is behind locked glass doors. This would be fine, had someone actually responded to the call button for customer service thats installed. I rang it twice, waiting around for over 10 minutes, and nobody ever came. Second: Produce was nasty. All I needed was some bagged lettuce, and there wasnt a single bag that didnt look past its shelf life. The leaves were all brown and wet... gross. I tried to pick up a watermelon, and it SAGGED UNDER MY FINGERS. That is well beyond ripe - that is rotten. Third: Pretty poor variety. There were several things I could not find either at all, or in the usual brands. Im not anti-Walmart at all. I have been to several that, while maybe not the nicest grocery stores around, suited my needs just fine. NOT this one.

Andy, Evan, and Sam were all willing to help us find pesto. Andy greeted us realizing we looked confused as to where to find it, and offered assistance. My fiancee then asked Evan where we could find pesto, he helped us as much as he knew, recommending we look down the pasta aisle, which I already had (kudos to him), and then, my love asked Sam, who guided us around, while we looked, same as Evan, and finally we gave up, and started checking out at self service, when Sam, bless his soul, kept looking after we had already checked out, and told us he found it. He continued looking after our interaction. So kudos to Andy, for the perception of realizing a customers confusion, Evan, for trying to help us, and the real MVP, Sam, for taking the extra effort to continue looking for what we were after, even though we had already left your immediate attention. You reminded us of an amazing toys r us employee named Charles who helped us when we were shopping for our baby needs.

Its hard to get use to understaffed grocery stores. This locations convenience gets undercut by the goal to be as cheap as possible. Shortcuts like putting trash cans in front of doors to reduce the number of entry and exit points being watched, under trained clerks who cut to deep when opening boxes to the point that packaged goods are sliced open exposing food to the air, and the decision to still stock such items on the sheft in this condition just baffles my sense of traditional customer service. And yet I keep going back. What does that say about me?

DO NOT under ANY circumstances buy ANYTHING DAIRY from this store. Twice now I have bought something dairy from here, only to find out when I got home that it was months out of date. I literally just bought cheese right now in October and when I got home, I discovered it had expired last June! It was covered in white mold. The first time this happened was with a tub of yogurt, and it was also expired by a month; it smelled awful. Avoid this store completely if you can, but if you have to go here, never by anything dairy; youll never know what youre getting!

This store is generally about average for a Walmart store. This visit, however, was rather annoying because the self-service register I was at decided to stop working when it was my turn. The front-end manager, instead of ringing me up at the front (as they have done on occasion in the past), just locked the register, turned off the light on it, shrugged and went back to whatever she had been doing! I had to put my items back in the cart, go to another checkout lane, and stand in line all over again;; something just isnt right about that, ya know?

I was never really planning to ever go here because the longs drugs that used to be here was pretty meh. But since I had to go the bank then pick up dinner it was meant to be. It actually surprisingly nice and large. Its like a super Walmart stuffed into a tiny shell. They have a variety but not all things a normal Walmart would carry. It was new but still well taken care of. Didnt really see that many employees around. There were more than a few self checkouts and I think thats how they save money. Id visit again.

Store is unhealthy to shop at...and Walking the isles is depressing. The fresh produce section is like an after-thought relative to the size of the store, which is center-most dominated by frozen foods isles. The deli counter should be called "deli closet", and I believe the fresh baked bread is not made in house, so "fresh" is a relative term. Great place to buy bad/munchies food I suppose. Great deal on powerade, and Naked juice is super cheap. Thats about all I get there. Oh yeah And body wash

Very frustrated with the service here. I called on the phone to ask if they had Borax, the lady had a bit of an attitude and answered yes. The way she talked to me made me feel stupid, which wasnt helpful either. I drove all the way to the store, only to find that they DIDNT have Borax. What a pain in the arse that was! Luckily theres a smart and final right across the street. Theyre much more friendly and they have Borax.

Selection is very limited, but thats normal for a "Neighborhood Market." The place is clean, and the pharmacy is quick. All the associates Ive ever talked to there were nice. This location also has lots of self checkout lanes, and I cant remember ever having to wait in a line. Only downside is that every once in awhile there may be people outside asking for money.

Whether you are looking for the kitchen basics or looking to cook a feast this well maintained community based Wal-mart Market can accommodate. Service cashiers are always helpful and friendly. The reason for 4stars is due to the store being closed for a maximum of 5 hours, sometimes you find yourself maneuvering around boxes while some stocking is going on.

Good product selection but customer service is inattentive. Only one line open for checkout but several employees just standing around in the self-service checkout area not not seeing the needed to come over to open another checkout station when line gets long. Especially noticeable when disabled customers are waiting in a long line to checkout.

Wish there was a never go there star thus store dont deserve even half a star. The customer service sucks the manager and assistant manager lie to you and its not clean and most food is expired or opened already. My step son work there a week and being under 21 they had him stock alcohol. Please for the love of citrus heights shut it down.

This store shouldnt even get one star however theres no option for 0 which is the rating it should get. They only have one cashier and Im pretty sure it shouldnt even be considered one being how slow he is at checking people out. Clearly poor management or too cheap to pay employees. Im sure theyll be out of business in no time.

Got my items but were not cheaper then Raleys. Went to get in line only one checker and open after about 3 to 5 minutes they called for additional checkstand to open and instead of taking the next person in line and then another one opened and again didnt ask for the next person in line. I will stay with Raleys they are the best.
