Welcome to quilter heaven - and not just for experienced sewists, either. This is where I got my start with an "improv block" class with Stacy Sharman. New Pieces has a whole range of classes for beginners to expert and are very happy to encourage you along no matter where your current level. So, the fabrics!! Such a great, gorgeous collection, especially their section of Asian fabrics. Fun choices of fat quarters and remnants on discount too. At the front of the store, youll find thread, cutting tools, books and magazines, even sewing machines. I have also had excellent experience with New Pieces having them quilt something for which Ive created a top (and bottom) but didnt want to quilt together. They have a fabulous long-arm machine in the back and you can choose from many patterns. The staff is super thoughtful and collaborative with me when I bring in a piece for this kind of service. For example, I did a quilt featuring some shirt and jeans pockets in the top, and they were careful to never sew a pocket closed while doing the quilting. They will also do the binding if needed.

New Pieces has such a wonderful variety of quilting fabrics. Their extensive batik section is fabulous, and they have more Asian and Asian-inspired fabrics than I think you will find anywhere else. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and work hard to please the customer. Their long-arm quilting service does a brisk business, and the number of repeat customers speaks to the satisfaction quilters have with their work. Their book and magazine selection is also pretty extensive--and easy to navigate. And they are open on Sundays! My only reservation is that they dont carry patterns.

New Pieces has an amazing collection of cotton fabrics suitable for quilting and sewing. The store also offers classes and serves as a meeting place for some quilt groups. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and works hard with every customer to be sure s/he gets the best fabrics for each project. I have had two pieces quilted on the long-arm machine. The quilters did a superb job on both.

I brought a quilt here for quilting and they only stretched the back. The front is a complete wrinkly mess!!! I am heartbroken. If you care about your quilt, dont bring it here!
