I used to like Savers when they first opened. Now, however, the prices are full blown retail and I refuse to pay full price for used stuff that has been donated! I can go to Salvation Army, Goodwill, or a handful of secondhand shops and get the same or similar stuff for much cheaper. I also used to donate items to Savers, but I will be donating to the other places I mentioned above from now on. $3.99 for a used DVD is high. The clothing is overpriced. Vhs tapes for $2? Give me a break. The furniture is usually not in very good shape and is way too expensive. Savers, you need to reassess your pricing policies before its too late. Also, if they get a "good" vinyl record or something else they consider to be more valuable, they will mark it at a higher price and put it behind the counter on a special shelf. If records are $1.99, then they should all be $1.99.

I dont know why or when thrift stores thought it was kool to sell used products for brand new prices. Especially a "non-profit" organization such as Big Brother ? I worked for a Savers in Connecticut years back & it was not de same. We had NICE things there even brand new donations&de prices were cheap cheap like a bird. Things change plus this is Arkansas. I guess you do what you can when you run a business especially in a shopping plaza with hard competition.

Used to be good until the holiday season. Could get a deal on DONATED furniture items. Now everything is overpriced and at the end of the week, mysteriously all bought up by one place. Has been brought up that prices are being raised so no one buys anything so they can be bulk sold at a discount to this other place and kickbacks are recieved. Will not pay 149 for a used dresser when I can get a brand new one for the same. Going downhill fast.

They get donations under the guise of a nonprofit. Yet ask them for a nonprofit I.D. Number. They are a business who gets free donations and banks big on the image. By the way.... They give a small percentage to a non profit. Thats how they get by with it.

Nice and organized, but all the clothes are way over priced. I saw things with yard sale tags on them for $1-2 and Savers was trying to sell them for $8-9; I could get a lot of these things in the stores they came from for pretty much the same price.

This use to be my favorite place to shop but last time I was in there the prices sky rocketed. I know its all donated and they need to pay bills, but come on raising the price and almost doubling on a lot of items. This is sad!

I like to take the day off work before I plumb the treasure trove that is Savers in Fort Smith. You should close your eyes before peeking around each aisle if you want every corner to be like a birthday surprise!
