I really want to give this Safeway a better rating for service, but it seems that every time I go to the deli counter the employees ignore you, and cutting meats and filling salads seem to be more of a priority than waiting on the customers standing at the counter. Also, there is always an endless perpetual line at the one express checkstand that is open. . .and the poor cashier continually calls for backup cashier help who never seems to show up. But having said that, Safeway is the only place that I will go for my produce, meats and seafoods over Albertsons, Frys and Bashas.

Had a run in with an " UNDER COVER RENT-A-COP". Put my kids in danger when he decided to chase a guy who was stealing a case of Mikes hard lemonade. RENT-A-COP, chased him all around the store and parking lot. The thieve and "RENTA-COP" zoomed right pass where my toddler son and daughter were standing. I confronted the RENT-A-COP on what he thinking putting my kids at risk, he responded by saying I should have not been standing there with my children.

So far, one of the best Safeways that I have visited in the valley. Maybe I have been lucky? Or, maybe its because I usually go in the evening. Either way, its rarely crowded and annoying like many other grocery stores. Its clean and isles are wide enough that rude shoppers are not constantly in the way like at Frys or other stores. If I am in a hurry, this is the store I choose. Even when there are other options a bit closer.

The young girl training in deli seemed to have problems listening to customer(me) what I was asking from her. I needed to small drink cup lids she gives me exlarge. Also letting her know there were no more small lids and that I needed 2 please. You would think that was possible to get from her. She obviously didnt want to be there or care. Wasnt pleased with her. God Bless

5 years ago the stag was awesome. Whenever my wife sent me on a trip and I was meandering around the store looking for something I had no idea where or what it was, an employee would always notice this and ask to help. These days no one is never anyone willing to help a helpless man on a grocery run.

Every time I go in, I ask myself Why??? I swear off ever going in again. Long wait lines, slow and unfriendly cashiers. Express line is rarely open. No self checkouts. Whenever I need someone at the customer service desk, have to ask a cashier to call someone and then wait. Prices are high.

Usually easy to get in and out. Store is well laid out and it is easy to find what youre looking for. Ive been here a handful of times during my stay in Gilbert and its definitely a good option that is close by to where we stayed. Very nice employees as well so thats a bonus!

You must go here for cakes and pastries. The new cake decorator Tamara is the best at what she does. Dont make a mistake and go elsewhere. This artist can do it all. From simple cakes to custom order wedding, birthday, really any cake you could imagine.

Its always pleasant and sometimes crowded. They typically have about 90 percent of the products that I am after. I do prefer a bakery for breads and pastries. And on a final note they are convenient and they have a Starbucks on site!!!

Fantastic deli! Very professional and friendly pharmacy and meat department. Customer service is quite attentive. Shopping carts are always in good operating condition. Great customer experience.

Very good selection, store is very clean, aisles are clearly labeled. Non-sale prices are a little higher than other local grocery stores, but their sale prices are good.
