on the morning of wednesday 2/8 i had my car towed to pep boys on monlimar. they told me it was ready that afternoon. the bill was $650. i drove to see a friend and went to the grocery that night. i got up 2/9 thursday morning to go run some errands. the car would not start. called pep boys and the sent wrecker to pick it up. thursday afternoon i called to see what the status was. i had to call them every day and was told they would call me back, which they never did. they told me they had checked a few things, one of which they said was the fuel pump and that did not appear to be the problem. on Sunday 2/12 i called and they now tell me they believe it is the fuel pump. i ask how much that would be and they told me $586. monday 2/13 i called and was told it was the fuel pump. i said ok and ask again how much it would be and was told it would be $686, $100 more than the day before. i ask to speak to a manager. i explained to him that i just spent $650 on it and it ran for about 4 hours and then would not start. i told him about the 2 different prices i was quoted. somehow he comes up with $582. i said ok. on Monday morning i called the to see what the status of my care was, and they told me they had ordered the wrong fuel pump. now my car is going on 7 days being in the shop. im told it may be ready today Tuesday 2/14. i will never go back to pep boys again. i feel like i have been getting the run around for 6 days now. i dont know if there technicians are ASE Certified. but i get the impression the arent. i can not understand how it took a technician 5 days to diagnose the problem with my car, unless they are completely incompetent, which i believe they are. i will never go to pep boys again. and will definitely not recommended it to anyone. it has been so far the worst experience i have with an automotive repair shop. i have never dealt with incompetent people, like that i encountered at this store. i feel like i definitely got the runaround and i feel like it just another business that only cares about your money and not getting yo back on the road at a fair price. if you need automotive repair, do not, i repeat to not take it to pep boys on Montlimar. i read mo re negative reviews that i did positive ones. they should either get new management or close the store.

Been in several times due to it being close to my residence. The last time was beacuse I bought some ac pro for my air conditioner. The cashier showed me that there is a coupon for a free leak evaluation if it starts blowing hot. Mr. Kirk the cashier was very nice and helped me make sure the right level was in and I was blowing cold again. About a week later it was back to blowing hot. Took it in the manager argued with me about the coupon until another cashier validated the coupon and told the manager that it is free. He was extremely rude and then said well well put you in if you even get seen today. I waited for about 3 hours or more which is the average wait time almost every time Im there. They found no leak and didnt really know what was wrong said they would look into it and try a part they think it may be. When I go to leave they try charging me. I stated Im not paying it due to the fact I was not informed prior to service I would be charged I was told it was free. The manager again was rude and didnt want to waive the fee but eventually did. Granted it was a small fee but it was more principle. I was later informed by Mr. Kirk after the tech did some more research he believed it to be another issue and said its not something they handle. I of course take it to people I trust Parish Automotive in Daphne they show me exactly what is wrong got me blowing cold again and give me a quote to correct the problem. This pepboys is a nightmare unfortunately I bought my tires from there so Im stuck with them until I buy a new set and dont even get me started on that problem. The cashiers are friendly service techs are as well even though some dont seem to know what they are doing and some are really good. Management is horrible at this location. Ive since been going out of my way to purchase anything automotive from Oreilys, Advanced, etc...

I have never been so disappointed at a place as I am with the management at this Pep Boys. On Aug 5, 2016 my brother brought me here and purchased a set of tires for my SUV. I had a painfully long wait. The young man who was working on my vehicle came to me upset because it was his last day working there and he was on overtime. He abruptly left and someone else was assigned to complete my vehicle. While paying for the tires I ask that my old spare tire be replaced with a rear tire they were removing. After I got home a few days later I noticed I had no spare tire. I went back to Pep Boys and spoke with the manager Jay who was on duty the day I got the tires. He had me to go to a used tire place and purchase a tire. When I returned with the tire I inquired about the rim. He explained that my entire and rim had been disposed and he would have to find me a rim. He went as far as to give me his cellphone number so I could call and "remind" him to find me a rim. Okay its been almost 6 weeks and he still hasnt ordered me a rim. The problem is He doesnt want to pay for the rim. I want my tire . I have the tire in my suv with no rim. This is ridiculous I guess he thought I was kidding when I said that my brother who brought me there is an attorney and a (ret) circuit judge. We have no choice but to take legal recourse.....

I shouldnt even give them this star. I took my car there June 8, 2016 because my warranty company said to use them because my air conditioning unit was not blowing cold. Not only did I wait all day, they called me at the end of the day, around 6pm, and told me that my car needed coolant. I let them do the work and it STILL did not work!!! I had to take my car to someone else yesterday June 21,2016. (I was not able to do it immediately cause I am eight months pregnant and had to go on bed rest.) The mechanic at the new place told me that my ac compressor was blown out because some idiot (probably someone at this shop) tried to refill my compressor with a can and on top of that, the compressor was already bad and shooting coolant out of the seals when I have documentation from Pep Boys that they said nothing was wrong with it and it had no leaks. WTF! They charged me 134 dollars for breaking my air conditioner and I had to pay someone else to fix what they broke. Dont go here!! I have called my warranty company and I will write/talk to whoever else I need to to try to get them not to use these people anymore!! Ridiculous!!!
