Went there to pick something up something I ordered online and I got there a little early, 10 minutes before they opened and tried to get in. To be fair, they had the gate open so I thought they were open although the door was locked when I tried to get in. The manager or a senior employee came out and was insistent about not letting me in until the store opened. Fair enough, but then continued to read me the riot act about how "dangerous" it was having me past the gate which is a bit ridiculous. If you really didnt want me getting past the gate then why not keep it closed until you actually opened? Anyway, I come back when they were open, gave them all the information they needed including my name, the item, order number and when I ordered it (a month ago). They were insistent that they never received it saying if my name wasnt on a box, they never got it. I kept telling them to double check but two different employees just scanned over the boxes saying over and over again that if my name isnt on the box, they never got it. They stood there refusing to help me out until I spent 10 minutes pulling up the actual confirmation page and showing it to them. Even then they were insistent they didnt have it, telling me to figure it out myself by calling customer support, etc. I then had to pull up the tracking number and actually show them that it said package was successfully delivered to the store and signed by an employee before they finally decided to go through the boxes they had and found the one I ordered. The lady then continued to read me the riot act again, but this time about how the packing slip didnt have my name on it and they couldnt identify it like it was my fault. I put my name in wherever it asked me to when I ordered it online and it was even on the confirmation page. Besides, I dont understand why they wouldnt label it with the order number or the item if it didnt have a name on it. They ridiculously rude especially that lady (wish I got her name) and wouldnt help me acting like it was completely my fault. It took all but a minute to go through the boxes to find my order and instead they wasted half an hour of my time refusing to go through them over and over again. I can understand that its early and that that youre busy opening up but it is absurd to expect a customer to solve a problem on your end! Im NEVER going back there again and would caution anyone about going there tool. Employees there have a terrible attitude with an even worse customer service.

Buyer Beware!!!! Extremely poor customer service. Fortune 500 company will not replace $200 broken printer after 3 attempts even with extended warranty!!! I have now purchased and returned 3 Brother printers from this store and each time I received worse and worse customer service. The employees there have redirected my replacement requests back to Brother and also to their customer service over the phone claiming they cannot resolve the issue in the store alone even though I purchased the extended warranty. I have wasted over 5 hours waiting on the phone and talking with the customer service reps only to receive a store voucher for a value that was less than the price of the printer. All I wanted was to walk into the store and make a simple exchange with no need for vouchers and me having to pay additional out-of-pocket expenses to replace a faulty product. Seeing as this printer was just over $200 (retail keep in mind) and that Staples is a Fortune 500 company, I would have thought this would have been a relatively small request to keep a customer happy. Nonetheless, it seems this company has other priorities than tending to the needs of their customers and will not be receiving my business nor any of my colleagues business in the future.

Always feel like Im being hustled by sales people on commission. Worst retail customer service of a lifetime. Everyone always seems stressed out and rushed. I usually go to replace my printer ink cartridges, Never once have I gotten the dollar amount cartridge I requested - always the more expensive one. This was not true when I bought a flash drive and the sales guy just handed me something like "here take this and get out of my face." It was less GBs than I wanted and the housing broke apart when I pulled it out of my computer. Have called the manager and complained. Things are still the same. Trapped. Unless I order from Staples online this store is my only option.

I would give the Center City location 5 stars if it wasnt for the numb nut Tariq who completely screwed up my order on 10/8/16. This idiot had a nerve to try and rectify his screw up by reprinting my order on an inferior quality of paper (I purchased a more expensive product to have my order printed on), without my knowledge. I guess numb nut assumed I wouldnt notice and still pay for it. Tariq needs to be FIRED or retrained. On a lighter note, there are 2 employees of the copy center who should get a raise, and that would be Danny and Damika. These 2 young ladies are extremely pleasant, professional, and proficient. They are the bright lights of Staples.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. GO ELSEWHERE. All of the staff were disinterested in their jobs and their customers. I had to ask for help, no one offered to help me and the product I required was on the second floor. The employee called ahead to upstairs and I was supposed to be met on the second floor by an employee. No employees were present so I had to go back downstairs to ask for help then back up again. At checkout the employee didnt allow me time to press for an email receipt then lied that his system was choosing the options for me. Thats nonsense, I saw him pressing buttons on his screen. Never shopping there again. Now I have to manually scan in my receipt.

Bad service. Called to check on my order twice and was kept on hold for 30+ minutes both times and ended up hanging up. Walked to the store and was told they were backed up. They told me to come back in an hour which wouldve been around 1:30. I told them Id come in at 2 so they werent rushed. Came in at 2:15 and was told they hadnt started printing yet. They told me theyd start it and needed 5-10 minutes to print it. Still waiting for it now. Watched them ignore phone calls for 20+ minutes almost as if they are hoping the customer will just hang up. Really need some better management and better customer service at this location.

I primarily use this Staples for its Print & Copy center and things tend to go well. The staff is almost always pleasant - there are days when one or two will seem a bit surly/tired, but working long hours in retail does that. I always get what I come for, though, which is to have things printed quickly and efficiently. If Im shopping for something, and not just dealing with the Print center, sometimes the salespeople are a bit over-helpful. Sometimes. Usually things are fine. This location is good overall, and some of the people working there are great. I much prefer this Staples to some other similar businesses.
