Mall is dying, its sad to see because you see The Laurel Mall is Hazelton doing so well and this one left in the dust. The planet fitness and the dunhams are really the only big financial contributor that the mall has going for them right now. Of course there are all hospital offices in here but I mean off of retail. If this mall ever wants to be relevant again it should really consider being sold and renovated. You have a gold mine in Buckhorn Plaza literally two minutes away yet this mall is doing so bad? It seems more of a ownership problem than anything else. Even if the "traditional mall" wont work in this local economy anymore, you can easily create this mall into something that can thrive in a time of changing economy. Get your act together! It would be nice to see this mall resurrect in some form or fashion like The Laurel Mall has done.

You know when JCPenney is your lead anchor store, that youre in trouble - at least from a shoppers perspective. This was probably a great mall at one time. Im guessing that time was around 1995. It seems that most of the mall has been converted to private office space for Gesigner Hosptial, which is sort of awkward to walk through. The parking lot is so uneven and full of potholes, I wouldnt consider entering it any faster than 5mph and with four wheel drive - park near the superior Quaker Stake and walk. There are a handful of great businesses in here (Pretzel Store, Bloom Bounce, Players Guild) so hopefully the mall can make even more of a transition to that environment. Theres not much else in Bloomsburg, other than the college - perhaps some of the area should be used by that? Maybe an indoor track?

You know those dystopian movies where the survivors of some kind of cataclysm band together in a deserted and half destroyed shopping mall? Thats this place. The attrition is painted on the walls, which are shades of late 90s turquoise and salmon. Easy listening music thunders through the hallways, undampened by mallgoers. Empty facades outnumber actual stores, staring out into the main thoroughfare like glassy, unblinking eyes. The lighting is dim and dismal, a moody atmosphere of decay, the building a hollow echoing chamber of anachronism. This is what our fervent culture has become, empty and pitiful. The little Buffet is cute though.

Each time you enter the Columbia Mall, you cannot help but to do a visual search to see what else has closed. It is very unfortunate that this mall died years ago and they forgot to lock the doors. Many spaces are filled by Geisinger Medical Center, which has rented empty stores to use as office space. They lost Sears a while back. Too bad they did not put in a Super K-Mart or something else. I do not know how they stay open, but I personally would like the mall to stay and grow with new stores, events or even a movie.

Worst mall Ive ever been to in my life. The owners clearly are not bright. We live in a college town and they have no popular clothing stores or really any store for that matter. If you bring in good stores, colleges kids will come and spend their money, at your mall, which youre probably not used to. Ive lived here my whole life and its sad I have to drive 30-45 minutes just to get a new shirt. So basically, dont waste your time unless youre looking to get some exercise with the other elders who power walk here.

Really sad. Used to be a really great mall. Had everything. And now mostly empty. Remember it having a lot of stores and people. And now its just basically empty. Was my favorite mall and place to shop. Such a shame not the same :/

This mall looks like a remainder from the zombie apocalypse. There are next to no stores open, very very few people in there, and the only store that I enjoyed was radio shack, and they are now going out of business.

A perfect example of Americas dying mall culture. Visit for that reason alone. The malls killed the downtowns, now the internet and big box stores are killing the malls. What goes around comes around I guess.

Terrible Mall! Great example of how the US economy is suffering! There are many vacant stores! The is dying slowly. It is such a shame and a great loss for the community. Shopping is much better in Wilkes Barre.

In its day this was a great all & it did have everything... The owners have run it into the ground by charging insane rental fees... Now like their mall, They can die slowly... Shame on them!

Once upona time this Mall was the place ta be. Walmart, Lowes, and Home Depot really put that mall through a nightmare trying to survive. Its only a matter of time before it totally shuts down.

The mall is mostly empty. There are some standouts here (Twisted Pretzels, Grab a Gyro), but overall, just meh, due to the lack of shops and the generl emptyness.

The whole place is practically empty and the stores that are suck, except for Dunhams and they are kind of over priced. Go to Wyoming Valley mall!!

Almost completely dead, JC Penny is closed. Yet it will still be listed here despite the closer. So many people losing their jobs over the owner.

Not many stores here anymore. When I was a kid it was always fun to go here and walk around but now not much to see unfortunately. Very saddening

Its a dead mall. Jcpenny had their closeout sale days. And there wasnt much left. A very empty mall. About to go totally out of business soon...

Unfortunately its dead. Losing JCPenney and Sears hurt and Bon Ton isnt far behind. Does have a Planet Fitness but better options for retail.

Ridiculous store selection. Bon ton has no cashiers, store workers are rude, parking lot riddled with major pot holes. Dont waste your time.

Like all malls this one is being left behind due to changing consumer habits. Still enough stores open that I found what I was looking for.

Not a lot of store kind of rundown they need to get like Hollister, Old Navy, Spencers, and stores like that in there to revive the mall

The dead zone. Parking lot is impassable unless you have a ladder to climb out of the potholes. Anchor stores are dropping like flys

A shadow of what it once was, 75% of the stores have closed. Durham sports is good. The rest reminds me of a post apocalypse movie.

It is pretty sad when a college town has no bookstore. That mall (if you can even call it that) is a waste of space.

Ghost town mall, if youre looking for shopping stores go somewhere else. This mall like many others are long gone.

Many stores are closing or gone, Pennys closes July 31, Radio shack and Sears already gone. Many vacant stores.
