Very professional and friendly experience from the time I called to inquire about the model I was looking for through my purchase of said bike. I was very suprised and pleased by the level of customer service I received throughout my buying experience with bicycle tech. I called and asked about a model I was interested in and the associate I spoke with verified stock as well as invited me in to test ride the item I wanted and the size frame above and below. When I arrived later that day the man I spoke with was able to address me by name(when does that ever happen!!) and pulled the model I wanted off the rack. They put it through a check up, repressurized the tires, and even adjusted it for me before my test ride as well as offering me a helmet. The first frame they recommended was the perfect size. I bought the bike and was again suprised by the year of free tune ups and maintaince that offer with all bike purchases. The salesman(Im not as good with names as he is in sorry to say) invited me back in 3 months to get my first free tune once I broke the bike in!! Im blown away by the personal and professional service I got when buying for bicycle tech and plan to use them for maintance over the course of my ownership. In this day and age where a good bike costs upwards of $1000, it is nice that I get personal and professional service that made me comfortable spending my hard earned money at bicycle tech.

As soon as I walked into the entrance, I knew immediately I was going to purchase a bike. Rich and his team were beyond kind and courteous from the get go. Knowledge; Amazing. HONESTY: Superb. They originally talked me out of purchasing a more expensive bike. No salesman does that. They cared more about my needs more than want they wanted to do; Sell. I decided last minute to change my mind on what I wanted. Rich smiled and got right to work on the bike I truly wanted. Rich was so helpful as was his team. I felt comfortable and knew I made the right decision. I visited several bike shops and did my homework prior to purchasing. Priced out bikes all over the place. I didnt pay the original/listed price. They gave me a better deal than I would have expected. Rich had me ride the bike and fitted me perfect. He made sure the seat was level. Checked every nut, bolt and cable. Will I be going back? Absolutely. I want to buy a new bike for my son and know where I WILL be going. Bicycle Tech in Lincoln Park. Thank you guys!

BEST bike shop I have been to, hands down! Went in today after having a sour taste in my mouth from DIamond Cycle in Montclair, and came out with a restored confidence in our species and bike shops. Spent a while in the shop while Rich, the owner, and mechanic Scott tried to solve an issue with my seat post. Greatest customer service I have experienced ever in a bike shop. They cared that my bike needed to get fixed. They cared that I was leaving on a bike tour the next day. It sounds cheesy but it matters. I am not surprised all the other ratings are five stars. They will work on any type of bike. Side note- do not let the weird facade and shape of the building throw you off. It is one of the oldest buildings in Lincoln Park, renovated from an old lumber yard. I appreciate their help and highly recommend them to everyone!

From the moment you walk in, you know youre in the right place. The cumulative knowledge in this place is second to none! If they dont know, they will find out. No Attitudes here, ever! Everyone that works there is a rider and very professional. Patience, Call backs, timely service. .....Service dept. looks like a Pro-Race pits.....Hours are phenomenal...7 days a week... till eight 5 days a week! The only thing that bums me out is, they are exclusively a Trek Dealer.(They only sell Trek Bicycles...Which I cant even list as a con). They will fix anything you bring in there. And if youre already in the market for a Trek....Dont waste your time going anywhere else....Theres no way your leaving there without a smile on your face....nuff said.

I happened to stop in the other day with my Brompton, because I did one heck of job jamming my chain between the chain ring and chain stay. I tried to tug it out and had no luck. As soon as I walked through Bicycle Techs entrance, I was greeted by every staff member and really felt welcome. They took my bike immediately and got to work. Within a few minutes my chain was free, and I was ready to ride! I cant thank Rich enough, and the rest of the guys for all your help. You really made my day-- it meant so much to me! So please readers: if you are searching for a bike center, whether you need repairs, or are just looking for a new set of wheels, definitely check out Bicycle Tech. These guys are stellar!

If I tried to count the number of times on my hands and feet that Rich (and Scott) either helped me out while on a ride, fixed something that I didnt think was fixable (or were utterly honest and told me when it was trashed), Id run out of fingers and toes. Ive been though just about every shop within a 40 mile radius of Wayne; Bike Tech is the only one that I will bring my metal babies to. If you need a wheel built....youll get a durable work of art back. Ive had 5 or 6 of them built at Bike Tech. Theyre the most durable wheels Ive ever had built. Honest, fair, fast, friendly, utterly knowledgeable. Youre wasting your time and money if you take your bike to any other shop in the area.

Absolutely terrific every time Ive been there. Fiancee and I each bought brand new bikes early last year and they were terrific with the attention to detail, sizing, advice, etc. Dimitri in particular is super friendly and knowledgable, though Ive never dealt with anyone there that wasnt both of those things. Need a part they dont have? Theyll order it and have it there quickly. They even have a texting system that will blast you a text message when your bike is ready. Theyve also helped me with various things on unannounced drop-bys, spoke tightening, headset adjustment, etc. Just a pleasure to deal with and will continue to spend my money there in the future!

Best bike shop Ive ever been to (and Ive been to a lot). Example: I had a problem in the middle of a ride recently (hit a nasty pothole). Luckily, I was close by and hobbled in with my busted bike. In spite of the fact that everyone was busy, they made time to check out my problem. They were able to fix my bike and get me back on the road (yes, I finished the ride). These guys are knowledgable and skilled mechanics. The shop is clean and bright. Ive never felt pressured or paid more than what I felt was a fair price. Every experience Ive had with this place has exceeded my expectations.

After visiting other stores in Oakland, Parsipanny, Ridgewood, and Wayne I found Bike Tech in Lincoln Park. Some of the nicest, most customer focused people I have met in years. I went in for a bike adjustment/tuneup and met Rich and Scott. They have helped me to rediscover my love of cycling. They helped my modify my bike to make it an even better ride. They helped me identify which bike would be my next ride. They helped me go clipless, they helped me find the right saddle, after MANY saddles, they helped me...they helped me...they helped me...etc. ...They are the BEST!
