The sales team @ Freehold Subaru is pretty great to deal with. Ive bought 2 vehicles here in the last few years and a friend has bought his most recent car here as well and weve both had good experiences with the sales team. Regarding the service team, it is hit or miss. If you are getting anything routine and can wait up to 2 weeks for your service, you will probably have no complaints. They arent pushy about additional or suggested work, and only offer it as a suggestion. If you are experiencing an non regular maintenance related to your vehicle, you may want to look elsewhere. They often do not have the time to look at your vehicle on short notice. Not only have I experienced, but Ive witnessed it occur to other customers as well. Their service team seems thorough and knowledgeable, but not very willing to help when you are in dire need of help. TLDR; service team excels at regular maintenance service, but can take a long time to get an appointment; emergency service is sometimes very difficult to get addressed in a timely manner here

Best first car buying experience! I had spent an entire day at another Subaru dealership being told they could not order the color I wanted, and being patronized for having specific numbers in mind (in terms of both down payment and monthly lease payments). Gave Freehold Subaru a call the following day, and was immediately told the numbers we wanted were reasonable, and theyd have no problem ordering the car I wanted! Steve and Mark Boyce were a dream team, and Mark was especially helpful in keeping me updated and informed throughout the entire process. He answered all my questions in great detail, and simplified everything to the point that all I really had to do was stop by when the car was ready, sign a few papers, and bring it home. I really felt like the Freehold Subaru staff has their customers best interest at heart, and I really look forward to having an ongoing relationship with them in the future. I could not be happier with the purchase and process of buying a car with these guys!

My wife and I just completed our purchase of a new 2016 Subaur Outback Limited 3.6 R from this dealer. Just like our first experience in buying a new Subaru here in 2012, it was a pleasant, hassle-free experience which started with an online RFQ for a car that was completely "speced" and had to be factory ordered. The price quote was the most competitve received (we sourced several local dealers), compared favorably with Edmunds TMV and was delivered by email. Pickng up and paying for the car when it arrived was hassle free, through and quick. All documents were ready ahead of the scheduled time and the walk through of the vehicle features and operation was thorough. and completed. We returned here for a second time based on our first sales experience, satisfaction with the product quality and after-sales service. We will continue to do business with Ira and Freehold Subaru in the future!

My wife was in need of a new car and she was stuck on having a crossover, and a Subaru one at that (the all wheel drive, handling, safety, visibility, etc.). We were looking for a certain trim level and we found one certified on Freehold Subarus website for below average price. Kim was very courteous and replied directly back to my online inquiry in a timely manner, and forwarded us to Carlos, who kindly brought us through the cars features and a test drive. Being that the dealership was an hour away, they made us feel welcome and kept in communication with us as we made plans to see the vehicle, ensuring us that it would be available for us to see. Carlos, the manager Brian, and Jim in finance were not pushy and completely related to us and our needs. I highly recommend this dealership for the pleasant experience we had.

I was visiting the area, looking for a new, reliable, all-weather "daily driver" - something other than "mandatory" Toyota/Honda/Hyundai/Mazda. Turned out to be a bad idea - the showroom is extremely tiny (only a single Legacy and Forester inside) because its also directly shared with Dodge/Chrysler models, nobody even tried to offer any kind of help, everybody were pretending to be "busy" and when directly asked for help - they basically treated us like they were forced to serve us under the penalty of death. If youre nearby and youve never visited them before (youre not a "friend/family" with anyone working there) - definitely avoid it and look for some other place (even if youll have to drive an extra hour or so), just as we will.

We were in the market for a new Subaru Outback 3.6. My husband is a relentless researcher, and came up with a detailed spreadsheet and a lot of questions. Of course we want a good price, but we also look for friendly, informed customer service and a willingness to go the distance with my husbands drill-down. Bryan Hughes spent a lot of time answering all of his questions and was available multiple times to discuss a potential purchase. We would definitely recommend Bryan if you are looking for a new Subaru. On a side note, we have brought our cars into Freehold Subaru for service, and are very pleased with the Service Department. My husband has nothing but great things to say about Mike Hopler, the Service Manager.

Nasty. Went in for test drive because they offered a $50 gift card if you come in for a test drive, you get there and the gift card is in the mail. A month later, no gift card. Call, 1st question, did you buy a car yet - yes I did, bought a Subaru at Pine Belt Subaru because you couldnt make a deal work - reply, "your gift card has been sent" and he hung up - click. Guess what - i immediately get an email, your gift card will be sent to you in 7 to 10 days - feels like such a scam and the fact that they could not make a deal yet a competitor could, to me means they are only after the highest profit sales. Nasty people - I would not even give them one star, but to post this i had to. stay away.

Subaru has a reputation for outstanding vehicles and Freehold Subaru an outstanding dealership. We drove over thirty miles and passed numerous Subaru dealerships to return to the dealership we leased our Outback three years ago. Our first experience was a good one but since then things have gotten better. Our sales person was Dean Fitzgibbons. A retired Army lifer his background and character was clearly evidenced by his superior preparation, personality, and professionalism. Dean worked closely with us and we never felt we were being pressured. If you are looking for a superior person to help you navigate the purchase of a vehicle then Dean at Freehold Subaru is your man.

I had such a pleasurable car buying experience at Freehold Subaru. I had already done my homework and was pretty sure about what I wanted and all of my expectations going in, so I knew I really did not want to deal with a pushy in your face salesman. Thankfully Nick helped me out without any unwanted pressure. He made my husband and I feel totally comfortable and at ease - he was friendly, knowledgeable, and very down to Earth. The whole process took under 3 hours and I ended up driving away with a brand new car. I would strongly recommend anyone to go visit there. I even ended up driving past a more local Subaru dealer and Im so happy I did!
