Went there on 8/28 to purchase a washer for my sons family. I wanted a specific machine that had been advertised on sale. It could not be delivered for a month!! I bought a more expensive model that could be delivered sooner which was still a week later, 9/3. My salesman was young and very condescending. While that made for a less than pleasant experience it was just the tip of the iceberg. I gave them my sons address and phone number for the delivery. The day before set delivery I was called and my son was texted about delivery time, between 8 - 10:00am. Around 9:30 they showed up at my home. I told them they brought it to the wrong address. They refused to take it to the correct address as they could only make one stop per delivery. I called the store and spoke to another salesman who verified that the address was my sons not mine on the order. He told me he would call them and see what he could do. I never heard from again. My son called him back and he was told nothing could be done except to reschedule. Unhappy, but still needing a washer, my son rescheduled the delivery for 9/6 between 5-7pm. They were contacted on 9/6 to verify date and time. By 11:00pm and 6 calls to the delivery center they still did not have the washer. They were told the truck was running behind but showed they were on the way at 8:30pm. They were never contacted by the delivery men. My son and I both made calls to the Delivery Center. Finally, we were told it would be delivered today at our convenience. Still no machine, no calls. My daughter-in-law, who stayed home from work, called them and was told they were not on the schedule for today. I called them and by now I am furious. Was given the number of the warehouse here in town and the number has been disconnected. Having to wait now for store to open so I can be led around in circles again. I will NEVER, EVER, purchase any appliance at Sears.

Merchandise pick up is horrible. When I picked up my package they only gave me box 1 of 2 - I was completely unaware that there were two boxes to pick up for this one item that we ordered. The next morning as I begin to unpack the item that we purchased for assembly I began to notice parts missing. With a further inspection of the box and contents I became aware that I was missing box 2 of 2. I attempted to call merchandise pick up 5 times with no answer - it literally rang until their phone system hing up on me. I called and requested customer service and explained the situation. I was placed on hold for 15 minutes the first call prior to their system hanging up on me and then 13 minutes when I again called customer service and explained what was going on. By this point I was had already driven to the store. They did have my box and I was able to pick it up. I may have been fairly rudest that time as I found their offer of 2 $5 off of a purchase in the next two weeks insulting for all the trouble I has gone through just to get my total order. They are dishonest in package pick up as well. They have an automated check in system and guarantee you will have your package within 5 minutes. I can say that they completed mine and several other peoples pick ups before they ever actually retrieved our items. If you have a choice have your package delivered to home.

Im writing this review for my poor sister who mistakenly did business at Sears. She purchases a fridge for her new home, a nice stainless steel French doors fridge. After the hassle of trying to figure out when it would be delivered and Sears rescheduling 8 times (no exaggerating), she finally got a fridge delivered but it was the WRONG one, a cheap top freezer, small fridge and on top of that, it didnt even have matching handles. She had them leave it since she had been without a fridge for nearly a month now and a person can only live so long without food in their home. She spoke with three manager who assured her she would get her fridge swapped out soon. Its been FOUR months and she still does not have her fridge, the manager keeps giving her the run around and on top of that, the cheap fridge she was given leaks ALL over her floor. She was told they would come look at it and fix it and even thats been a nightmare of almost 2 months of not showing up. She just wants the fridge she ordered originally!! I feel bad for her. I know now to NEVER do business at Sears!!!

I had hoped to work park time with the company until it closed (lets face it with performance like the company has, weak leadership and the repeated poor reviews its going to happen) The store leadership is a joke, I would have to basically call each week for my schedule (4 out of 7 weeks) because they were too lazy to post the schedule. It was always a different excuse. I finally let them know I wasnt going to work for a company who couldnt communicate. I made 1 purchase in this store. I bought about 6 shirts and 4 of them rang up wrong. I caught that fact on two of them but the other two I didnt catch until I got home. Much like the decades of pathetic service that Kmart provides sears has followed suit. I will cheer the day this company goes bankrupt. That is what happens in these situations... too bad they couldnt learn how to provide good service + good price + good leadership... They would have had a different future. I guess they got what they wanted ~10 billion dollars in losses in 7 years. WAY TO RUN A COMPANY GUYS!

I received a power tool last Christmas from a friend whom I dont speak to much anymore. It burnt up the first time I used it and the manu. warranty says one year to be exchanged at the store of purchase with receipt. Well, since it was a gift, I had no receipt, and I knew I was going to catch grief from Sears. However, I called, was able to use my friends phone number to find the transaction with a manager, brought it to the store and they switched it out without a problem. Were always worried that warranties wont work, but he didnt make it complicated at all. He didnt grill me and try to make it sound like it was my fault or exploit any loopholes in the warranty policy. I really appreciated that. The only negatives was the speed of the service, but it was from being understaffed. Also, I cant help but being anticipatorily irritated at the thought that had I not been clever enough to find the transaction number, I wouldnt have gotten the replacement on something that burnt the first day. Anyway, it was good.

I ordered 3 items for a Christmas gift. 2 were available for pick up right away so so I did. After waiting 2 weeks for the third item, I called and was transferred to a random department who knew nothing about how to help me. She took my name and number and said someone would contact me. Several days later, still no call. I called back today and requested Customer Service through the automated answering. I was transferred and on 2 different calls, the phone rang until I was just disconnected. The third time I called back I requested the "Tools" department where I received the same service... Ringing until I was disconnected. I have yet to reach anyone about my item I have waited for two weeks for and have already been charged and paid for the item. Needless to say I will not be ordering anything else from Sears and will warn my friends and family as well.
