I was beyond upset with my recent visit at McGovern Honda at 300 Manley Street in Brockton MA, formerly known as Bernardi. My boyfriend purchased a vehicle from this location at the end of September and one of the reasons being that certain maintenance services needed like oil changes etc. would be covered under warranty. However, when we arrived for an oil change on 4/29/2017 we were surprised to find that this warranty would no longer be due to it being under Bernardi and not McGovern. Not only was my boyfriend not notified of this major change that would now effect his prior deal but he was told, after we waited for abut an hour with sales people scrambling around to verify what the issue was, sales person Anthony Putignano then appeared and stated that they cannot continue covering the cost for the oil changes as they did the last two times that he went for the service to be rendered. Despite the fact that no one informed him that the service was no longer covered under warranty and as a result theyd be the ones covering the cost. The sales person mentioned above spoke in a very rude manner and reported that hed only speak to my boyfriend in regards to the vehicle after I voiced my dismay regarding the poor customer service displayed. My boyfriend agreed with my opinion even stating that he wouldve never purchased the vehicle from them if he knew things would turn out like this. On top of all that this man provided my boyfriend with a phone number to Bernardi, reported that its their fault despite he and other sales people before him apologizing for the situation, and requested that he call them to clear up the matter, that should have been alleviated by them. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. There needs to be policy put into place for people who purchased vehicles prior to the transition to McGovern. These customers should not be neglected and by what took place today its clear that they are. My boyfriend now has to fend for himself making phone calls to Bernardi to try to get his warranty back. Also, he was never told upon purchasing the vehicle that a switch was being made that would effect the terms of the deal that he signed off on. The reason being that they knew people wouldnt agree to get into such a contract if they knew.

We bought a Certified Pre Owned 2014 Honda Odyssey EX-L from McGovern Honda. Our salesman was Jose Branco. Let me start off by saying he was great to work with. He seemed knowledgeable about the minivan we eventually purchased. Upon delivery, he showed us how to use some of the electronic features and helped setup our smartphones to connect seamlessly with our new car. He seemed patient with us throughout the entire process and was a phone call or quick text message away if we had any issues or concerns. And best of all, he made us feel at ease with his special brand of humor. The looks of the McGovern is wide open and inviting. They offer all the coffee and bottled water you would like. It’s conveniently located right off the highway. It even has a diner for your breakfast needs. In terms of a bargain, we feel we got a good deal on the price of our new car. Be assertive when you show up at any dealership. Have a budget amount that you’d like to spend. Compare this vehicle you’re interested in with what is out there on the internet. Get your financing in order. And refuse trading in your car at dealerships for a huge loss. And just say no to any other products they will offer because what’s good for the dealership is usually bad for you the buyer. Nothing else should matter except the cost of the car. The sales and financing team are professionals at selling you extras like financing offers, extended warranties, etc. Be prepared to say “NO” and if they insist, then just walk away. If they want your business, they’ll call you back and make you a better offer. If not, then consider yourself lucky to have walked away from a potential bad deal for you. Good luck car buying out there. We searched for over 5 months for our car and capitalized on the end of the month AND end of the year sales push and got the car we wanted at the right price.

Well if you like battling with sales people/ being in a car dealership for 8+ hours just to buy a car this is the place for you! Not interested? In that case why not bring the car you bought there for a standard oil change/ tire rotation where you can wait over an hour and they will tell you they rotated the tires but never actually do! In all seriousness I cant imagine the amount of people they scam here annually with erroneous "paper work fee" and other expensive BS charges. After we spent HOURS working out a deal with the finance department they tried passing a deal through with 4.9 percent financing (after they agreed to 1.9 hours earlier) and only honored the deal after I demanded a refund on my credit card deposit. Seriously this place did not give me a good trustworthy pleasant experience. Dealing with their finance team felt more like dealing with foreign dictators, and after all the BS they tried pulling with the finance plan they have you go in a special room that is rigged with sound equipment, and they record the conversion... does that sound like an honest place to you? I just advise anyone using them to be weary thats all.

SCAMMERS!! VERY RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, LACK OF MORALE!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! My family and I came today to the dealership to complete the paperworks with this location from a bit of a distance to be disappointed. We were told a price but then got there and the group of men that my family and I dealt with today were rude, unprofessional, and uneducated. They tried to increase the price by $500 dollars. I am not sure what planet they are from but when you try to sell something, Its NOT ideal to change the price. They became very rude and verbally combative with their words and threats. Yes they threatened my family and I as well. We have never experienced such poor service of any kind ever expect for this place. We hope no one would come to this location to deal with these people. I recommend going anywhere else rather then to this Brockton location. They have no integrity, professionalism, manners, honor, or worth of anyones time. THEY ARE TRUE SCAMMERS!! THEY TRY TO GET YOU TO COME THERE BUT TO THEN DEGRADE YOU AND BELITTLE YOU AS A PERSON.

I went to the dealership after visiting other dealerships and I must say that Joe D. Was extremely courteous and professional. I had a 2008 Honda Fit and I never purchased a new vehicle. I got a great deal in addition to some options for warranties. Joe was very good in ensuring that all my needs were met and that all documentation was done prior to my purchase. He also answered questions very early in the morning and got back to me in a timely fashion.Sam also was great in finance and helped me finance my vehicle and got me the best deal. I highly recommend this place if you want a great reliable service. From the greeter to the manager and answering questions, I have to say it was a very smooth and pleasant experience which most people cant say when buying a car. I also got everything done in just a few hours which I am very happy about.
