I purchased a "Sony" replacement bulb from The Sound Shop, for my Sony projector. Paid over $200.00 for this "Sony" bulb, only to have it be bad out of the box. I tried to get them to replace it and they refused. The salesman tried, but the manager wouldnt do anything. I called Sony to see if they could help, they asked for the serial number of the bulb, when I gave it to them, they told me it wasnt a Sony bulb, but a cheap aftermarket knockoff and that they couldnt replace it for me I had to deal with The Sound Shop since the bulb didnt come from Sony. I wouldnt recommend The Sound Shop for anything. They charged me for a Sony bulb and I got a cheap knockoff that didnt work and Im out over $200.00 what a rip off!!!
The most important things in running a business is honesty, integrity, and professionalism. This organization lacks these qualities and it is truly amazing they are still in business. I had a bad experience with this business and waited over three weeks for them to make a repair that was promised and never done. All I got was lies and the run around when I asked when a technician would come by and repair a mixer for a local church. They were all about money and not customer service. I believe you should always be up front and honest with your customers if you either dont want to do the job, or cant get it done. I dont recommend this so-called company to anyone and it is truly sad they even exist.
If you are looking at a home audio/video system this is the shop. I spent hours doing my homework and looked at a couple of other shops in Colorado Springs. The Sound Shop was awesome. Very patient with my questions. Came to my new home mid build to give me ideas. Asked me questions about what was important to me. Came back with VERY competitive pricing and great ideas. Mike at the Sound Shop helped me that most. He was GREAT. Go there. You will be happy. Or go to other shops in town, pay attention to their customer service and pricing, then go to The Sound Shop and you will even more happy...Matt

Ive been dealing with The Sound Shop from three stores ago, 28 years in all. They have been nothing short of professional in every way, especially Larry. The products offered are some of the most state-of-the-art in the industry & the knowledgeable staff is very attentive to all your audio/video needs. Even though I am well read & educated in this field, I still learn new & creative ideas after every visit. With all they have to offer, The Sound Shop is also budget & value minded. Give them a chance to work with you. You wont be disappointed.

I Read some of the other reviews & if you really think that they should do an estimate for FREE & not get paid for their time & service your pathetic! You clearly dont get or understand how running a business works & probably try to get something for nothing EVERYWHERE you go, SAD!
The Sound Shop is a very customer-oriented company. In particular, Mike Fallert has rescued us and our in-home theater more than once this year! He is quite knowledgeable, a technical guru who is able to isolate a problem almost instantaneously, fix it in a timely manner at a most reasonable fee. If I decide to upgrade any of my equipment, I will definitely seek the advice and counsel of The Sound Shop and purchase what this company recommends.
Highly disappointed. I ordered an expensive piece of AV cabinetry from them. After 19 days of waiting I finally called them; they said they couldnt get it from there distributer. I called the manufacturer who said the Sound Shops story didnt wash--the cabinet was still available. Ill never really know why they came up with that story---and couldnt find the time to inform me and refund my money ASAP. Weak.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! The Sound Shop is the only place I go to for audio / video gear. They are very helpful and knowledgeable about the latest tech for home theater and audio gear. I would much rather support a small locally owned business then the big box stores. If we dont support small business then there wont be any.
The Sound Shop is one of the best places to get your home theater set-up! 5 out of 5 stars! Scott was a lot of help with getting me caught up on what we could do and how we should approach this with my new home. Everything sounds amazing and I will always recommend their work to friends and family!
Comperirive procing but way below average service after the sale. It depends how much you spend here and home theater is what they specialize in.. However. I was treated poorly by management and0 told they would not handle a repair of my CD player. There is no repair service here jusr installers.
Perfect service!!Scott gave us great info, helped us make a correct choice on equipment and size of TV. Installation was clean, fast and explained how to use all the new features. Used them around 12 years ago and was so glad we used them again.Many Thanks...
Ive purchased new and used components from these folks as well had them service equipment. It seems that theyre always talking me out of spending money - finding the least expensive equipment or approach to meet my needs.
The Sound Shop- these guys are awesome-from concept through design to install. Communication from my initial call to the scheduling through to completion - all very professional.
Crooks! Charged me $125 to have ME unplug my tv. (premise of $75 diagnostic fee)That was it; beside the inconsideration of his wet feet on my afghan rug. Live and Learn

Very unfortunate. They would not repair my Projector after quoting me the costs for parts and labor and then charged me $75.00 for doing nothing in my view. BEWARE!!!!
Just want to make sales, NOT service Did not return phone call even though I have purchased from them.. Need a new system. will purchase else whwre
