Summary: I received great service from Diamond Hondas service department. Service advisor Frank went above and beyond my expectations. The long story: The last dealership that I had taken my 2005 Honda Accord to was Buena Park Honda. I had a miserable experience with them, feeling cheated and lied to. After that encounter with Buena Park Honda, I checked (and added to) the reviews online to find out that I was not the only one who felt that way. I will never work with Buena Park Honda service department again. I needed 3 recalls taken care of, as well as an air conditioning problem assessed and fixed. I checked reviews for the next three closest dealerships, community Honda in Whittier, Hardin Honda in Anaheim, and Diamond Honda. While all three dealerships have their positive and negative reviews concerning the service department, it seemed as though diamond Honda had the least negative reviews and I decided to give them a call. Frank was the ideal customer service person from start to finish. I warned him right from the start that I could be a difficult customer to deal with, but he took on the challenge to meet and exceed my expectations. I explained to him my previous experience with Buena Park Honda, he listened patiently. I explained that I had read the online reviews for diamond Honda service department and that I had some reservations about doing business with him. Frank informed me that he also stays up to date on the reviews, and told me about changes that have happened within the dealership over the last several months that have led to better customer service for all of the dealerships customers. By talking with me openly, he alleviated a lot of my concerns, and built within me the trust I needed to feel before I would do business with them. Our conversation told me that Frank was not the average employee that shows up everyday only for the paycheck, but rather a committed and dedicated part of Diamond Hondas Team. I felt right away that he is committed to giving each customer the absolute very best service and attention, knowing that doing so is not only in the best interest of the customer, but in the best interest of the organization as a whole. Despite undoubtedly being very busy, he took the time to hear me out, alleviate my concerns, and build my trust. I set the appointment with him over the phone immediately, and dropped my car off after hours that night. The next day, the course of my work took me near the dealership, & I unexpectedly stopped in to say hi and see how my car was doing. Originally I was told that only two of the three recall that I needed to have fixed could be done, because parts were on backorder for the third. When I arrived at the dealership and met Frank face to face, he had great news to give me, he had pulled some strings and was able to get the missing part for the third recall. I was more than surprised and excited to find that all of the work would be completed in one visit and that I would not have to make a follow up visit after all. Although I thought we had discussed everything when I stopped by, Frank called me twice more, once with a status update, and again to confirm that my car was complete and ready for pick up. I can never complain about thoroughness and follow through. Picking up my car later that day was simple, easy and fast. No lines, no mess, no fuss. All three recalls were fixed. Likewise, my air-conditioning problem was resolved for much less money than I had expected. This I attribute to the experience and knowledge of both Frank and his technicians, being able to find and fix what ended up being a really simple problem with the air conditioning. In conclusion: my dealings with Diamond Hondas service department and with Service Advisor Frank left me feeling satisfied, grateful, and confident with them and the work they performed on my car. My 2005 Honda is getting old and this positive experience with Diamond Hondas service department has convinced me to also give their car buying experience a try as soon as Im ready to do so.

I wish I was writing a positive review but my family and I received one of the worst customer service ever at Diamond Honda Puente Hills Dealership. Michael Cha, sales manager or consultant, was incredibly rude to my parents, and myself. I am truly astonished by the lack of respect Michael gave us, especially when we told him upfront that we were going to purchase a Honda Civic EX-L sedan today. (little Background) We called the day before and spoke with Jerry Ng about estimates and he was really sweet and let him know that we have done business at Diamond Honda last year with him, when my sister bought her 2016 Honda Accord EX-L and received a great deal. Jerry gave us a number and we went to other Honda dealers to find a competitive offer and received one from Honda Buena Park at 21,300 (not including taxes) $4500 and a $7200 dollar trade in for 258.58 per month for 48 months. (Back to present time) We were initially greeted by Tony Rodriguez, who was very cordial and provided good service, sat us on a table in the lobby area and we gave him the numbers that the Buena Park Honda gave us. He must have given the paper to Michael Cha and he came over and was discussing the numbers and why he believed the offer was wrong. At this point, it seemed as everything was fine but I was pointing out that the monthly payment printed numbers on the paper did not match what the dealer actually offered because we renegotiated and this offer was made after he printed up their original. Michael began to raise his voice unnecessarily declaring those numbers were impossible. I told him that the buena park dealer showed the numbers to me on their computer screen and they all worked out but they did not print that form. AGAIN raised his voice asking my mother what her occupation was , who works as a corporate insurance broker, and if she knew numbers. Irritated, my mother asked him nicely to stop raising his voice, (there was no need to get riled up all we asked was if he could match their numbers and if not thats fine), but his raised his voice even louder talking down to us and dismissed my explanation of the number differentiation and continued to say the numbers were impossible. Since, he raise his voice and was extremely rude my mother was upset and walked out. All Michael had to say was that he was unable to match or do better than that offer. We took our business to Buena Park Honda and bought the car today. I will be telling my family, even extended family (who all are loyal Honda owners), to NOT go to your location due to the lack of respect my mother received. I did want to mention that Jerry and Tony were gracious but I was astonished at the fact he is raising his voice at prospective buyers in the middle of the lobby. VERY disappointed.

Thanks to Helpful Honda Guy/sales consultant Chung Ly, I left Diamond Honda with the exact 2017 Honda CR-V that I wanted! It has been years/decades since I bought my last Honda, and a lot has changed! (As a testament to the reliability of Honda products, Ive owned/driven/loved my Honda Civic for 23 years with no major issues. That is not a typo. My 1994 Civic LX has over 210K miles and has yet to disappoint!). My transaction happened over the course of two weekend visits, some online research, and staying in touch with Chung in between my two visits. He reached out to me shortly after my first visit and made sure to communicate with me throughout the week, in a non-pushy manner. By the time I arrived yesterday, Chung had the exact model/color scheme already pulled and ready for me to take home! We drove "my" car around the block and then he sat in the car with me to educate me on all the features and tools, fielding my million random questions along the way. Chung provided excellent service and never-ending patience to make sure I understood how to utilize all the new bells and whistles. I had an issue right after driving my new car off the lot, called Chung, and there he was, half an hour after ending his work shift, being his Helpful Honda Guy self, going above and beyond to make sure my car was functioning properly and that I was a happy customer. THAT is customer service at its best! (And no, there was absolutely nothing wrong with my car, it was a simple case of user error/the user having a dingdong moment!) If youre in the market for a new car, and are considering a Honda, I highly recommend you stop in to Diamond Honda and ask for Chung to coordinate your purchase. Chung and the rest of the Diamond Honda staff are all very professional and live up to the Helpful Honda meme. Additionally, Diamond offers a lifetime limited powertrain warranty if you purchase your Honda from their dealership - for free! Yes, City of Industry might be a little further out of the way depending on where youre coming from. Yes, I could have gone to any of the dealerships in my immediate area. BUT, it was well worth my time and mileage to go a little further - because Diamond Honda was willing to go that extra mile to earn my trust and business!
