Dont get me wrong the food is good, (will never compare to the old king donuts!) but Ive gotten the chicken pad see ew from here twice, first time it was really good, second time they added too much veggies for my liking, and they didnt have much flavor to them like they did the first time, but Im rating 3 stars because the phone service! Ive called and ordered to go 2 times now the first time was fine, the second time I had to call back a couple times which wasnt that bad but today is a whole nother story! Ive called atleast 6-7 times no answer, the second to last time I called someone picked up and hung up! So food is pretty good, (Im going to get spring rolls now), service is okay & customer service is average okay. EDIT; they were closed! My mistake, but I wonder why the random closure during the weekdays, all I know is Im going to get my spring rolls today! 4 stars!

As stated by many, the teriyaki us passable, but the doughnuts are the best Ive ever had. They are large, soft, absolutely packed full of flavor, and the selection is excellent. I dont know what they do different in the batter and with the toppings, but it is always the most amazing flavor profile you could imagine in a pastry. Their bavarian is my favorite and tastes so amszingly fresh, even a few hours later as a pre-lunch snack. I work just down the street but only a few months a year which Im glad for, otherwise Id weigh 50 pounds more. Its hard not to walk out witg more than you intended. Give it a try, but be forewarned, you will get hooked.

what can anyone say about King Donut? they make fabulous donuts AND teriyaki and its a laundromat, too. You can have your drinks and food in a spacious dining area and visit with other local residents. this is not some upscale, gentification-oriented, nouveau/artisan pastry shop, but a genuine old fashioned neighborhood icon. better go there now, because they have announced that they will be shutting down in December 2016. and if you like their donuts, you might have to go to Everett to find some just as good.

Bought two dozen donuts this morning and took them to work. The donuts were so stale that no one ate them. How embarrassing. A few ended up getting tossed to the birds and the rest were thrown out. Called to let the manager know and she said that I had to bring them back. Seriously?? She didnt even care. Spent 24 dollars and would have been better off going to Safeway. Would have spent half that and gotten better donuts. Will not be back and you should stay away as well.

Third time here in two weeks! OMG their Combo fried rice is the bomb! Pad Kee Mao is the bomb too! Brought a property nearby and had to visit the Donut/Teriyaki/Laundry mat business everyone talks about. After having lunch today we had french crullers and a buttermilk bar - oh so good. Nice and fluffy. Maple bars are great too - had those on a previous visit. :) Owner/cook is very friendly and engaging and really cares about making sure customers enjoy her food.

King Donuts has got to be one of the best classic donut shops on the planet. The donuts rock, the coffee is great and the owners are friendly and fun. They have a huge seating area that is laptop-friendly and Ive spent many long lunches there (the teriyaki, yakisoba and egg rolls are all awesome). And they have some of the best prices in Seattle... great place.

As a kid I really enjoyed this spot, however to maintain a profitable business you must change with the times. Came to get a spicy chicken and beef and I asked if I could get a clean grill (when you dont eat pork, establishments will clean the grill to prevent cross contamination) however I was chumped off and couldnt purchase.

King Donuts is back! They still had a reasonable selection of doughnuts when we got there after 1pm. My old-fashioned had the right combination of tenderness and that top crunch. My daughters chocolate bar was enormous, but the glaze hadnt set. We really wanted some milk! Ill be back for lunch items.

Wow. So rude. I just called and asked an employee if they had either any doughnuts that were completely dairy free or vegan, because I am allergic to dairy. His reply was "No! We dont have any of those weird doughnuts" I hung up on him and I will never ever go there.

Been here several times. Love this place. Food is so yummy with very reasonable price. Lunch specials are around 6-7 dollars yet come with tons of food. The people care about their customers and remember what they want.

Great terryaki and donuts. Very reasonable prices. One of my favorite places in Rainer beach. If you have a load of laundry you can get it done. Good food and crossing chores off at the same time? Cant beat it.

Best donuts on the south end...and I have to say, they trounce Top Pot. Also, to the reviewer upset about a lack of vegan/dairy free donuts - what do you expect from a combination donut-teriyaki-laundry joint?

This place is a local favorite. Anyone who knows the Rainier Beach area knows about this place. Great donuts! I will miss this place when it closes at the end of the year. We will miss you King Donut!

What a let down. The previous owners sold outstanding donuts. The new owners dont have a clue about fried dough! Decent coffee, cant speak for the food, having never ordered any there.

The donuts live up to their reputation - fantastic! The location is shady. The parking lot is a mess. The owners are friendly...depending on days. But overall, they are nice folks.

Donuts are very good. Almost impossible to leave the without getting a fritter or chocolate covered cake donut with coconut sprinkles. Teriyaki is passible.

Nice place for meetings and socializing(, if you dont mind the noise from the other groups). The food is good too. Can do your laundry at the same time.

I love the donuts but the place is not appealing... I gave them 4 stars because of the donuts not the actual place setting.

Decent Teriyaki, great donuts, and the best part is how ridiculously friendly the staff (Ive only met one) member(s) are.
