I went to Deep Roots Tattoo and Body Piercing because I have terrible headaches and read that a daith piercing, which is on a Chinese pressure point, would provide some relief. The artist at the counter gently educated me that, unfortunately, there is no proof that they actually work. In his twenty plus years of piercing he has only seen what he felt was a placebo effect. I REALLY appreciated his honesty, which is an indicator of his integrity. Furthermore, when I "toured" the shop on my way to borrow the facilities, what I saw was exemplary. In addition to being well equipped and esthetically pleasing, it was very clean. Everywhere there were reminders not to touch recent piercings or trash bins. There were reminders to was hands, etc.. Best of all there was the large, modern and obviously well maintained autoclave for sanitation of paraphernalia one could see through an open door. He might have lost one sale, but if my children, grandchildren or anyone else for that matter want piercings or tattoo I will insist they have them done here. (The jewelry is absolutely beautiful, too.)

I love this place!! The tattoo artists are funny and pleasurable to be around. Sean and Amy were working when I went and both were very friendly and fun. The vibe in the place is awesome, and both times that I went (once to sketch out a tat, and the second time to get it done) there was a very short wait. They take appointments, but walk-ins are welcome. This was my first tattoo and I had it on the left side of my rib cage. Sean did an amazing job and he and my friends provided friendly banter and conversation throughout the process making it as enjoyable as it gets for a a tattoo in that area! I love this place and if I get another tattoo, I will definitely go back.

Came here to get some high quality plugs. At a 0g, expect a small selection, but at a high quality. They offer great glass, wood, and stone jewelry, especially at larger sizes, but their pricing reflects that quality and the knowledge of their employees. If youre willing to pay more for the reassurance that your questions are being answered by the highly experienced, and for a higher standard for the jewelry there, this is your place. If youve been stretching for awhile or just need a pair to throw in, Id consider your options before paying $60+ for one pair of plugs that you will never wear again after you size up in a month or two.

I have been coming to Deep Roots other locations for years! I am happy they are expanding to the eastside, since there is no professional tattoo shops out there. The new shop is beautiful and VERY CLEAN! The tattoo artist are very talented and always listen to what I want and give me amazing custom tattoos. The piercers always make me feel comfortable so its easy to get pierced by them. The selection of jewelry here is insane! They have everything from gold to fancy hand carved earrings. They really do have something for everyone! Cant wait to get more stuff done!

I have been to this location twice now to buy jewelry for my nose piercings; both times the front desk girls were very helpful and friendly, even telling me how adorable my piercing looks. The piercers offered to put the jewelry in for me for free and were also super friendly. The place looks immaculate and its nice to have a shop that I can go to in Bellevue considering there are not a lot of options here. I am planning to get a tattoo done at the Alderwood location; hopefully it will be just as pleasant of an experience!

My son and I went in for piercing -- lobes for him and a double helix for me. Avery, who helped us with information and jewelry selection, was cheerful, super friendly, and just all around awesome. Ben did our piercings and he was fantastic -- explained everything clearly, was super mellow and his great sense of humor helped calm my anxiety. His technique was gentle and efficient -- made it all feel very easy! We even got to meet the shops owner... everyone was so nice... I highly recommend Deep Roots!

Took my nervous 6 year old daughter in to have her earlobes pierced today. Ive been in several times but today was the first time taking a young child. They were FANTASTIC as usual!! Dae was her piercer and he couldnt have been more accomodating and friendly. He explained everything to her step by step and made her feel safe and comfortable. Do not make the mistake of going to Claires and having your childs ears pierced by an untrained teenager in a place that sells hair ties and cheap makeup.

I love Deep Roots! I got my nose pierced a few months ago. The piercer was very professional and nice enough to calm my nerves. Everything is very sterile and the jewelry itself was professional grade. I just came in again today to get advice on the dreaded bump near my piercing, and they gave my great advice on how to treat it and assured me it was totally normal for this to happen. All in all, I highly recommend this shop!

Its been a week since I got a piercing here. They charge you for the piercing itself, aside from the jewelry, so it is rather expensive. But I think it may be worth it cuz they are good at this, and unlike all the horrible testimonies regarding conch piercings, mine is perfectly fine. No infection, no swelling up or any pain at all. I think its because they care a lot about sterilizing. Anyways, it is a nice place!

Great service! Called before I came in and they covered all of my questions. What I need when I come in, what kinds of piercings they do, prices, when their piercer is in, etc. prices are a little higher than I expected but the quality of the piercing was great. Hedi was so nice and helpful, and did an amazing job. They even gave me a pack of sea salt to soak my piercing in. 10/10 recommend to anyone. :)

A fantastic place. All staff were great to talk with! The staff are highly educated and can explain the process and answer any questions. Regarding the different material options for piercings, how to guage properly etc. The decorations are a bit off putting for me but I am told thats the style here. Despite that its a clean, inviting and very upscale place with fantastic staff and great selection.

My wife and I are novice at the whole tattoo thing, we showed Ben what we wanted and he told us that he wouldnt recommend it. But he did have suggestions to look at and with his help we found an alternative that is probably better than the original idea. If you want not only quality art but good advice this is a great place and they are very nice and patient with newbies. Also extremely clean.

I didnt know that they could hide/delete reviews, isnt this so customers can get Real feedback from other customers not just statements from the business itself?

Very friendly staff, it was a joy being around them! High quality, gorgeous, hand made jewelry by local artists. Piercing was very well done and was over before I knew it. Dont go bargain hunting when it comes to permanent body alterations, support your local, skilled craftsmen. I would highly recommend Deep Roots to any and everyone!
