I love Caffe Amouri in Vienna, VA. It’s a local treasure my family and I truly appreciate. The ride down lovely Lawyers road from Herndon to the quaint Church Street destination is a journey we look forward to often. The place is alive! The people who work there are wonderful and know their coffee. The patrons are a beautiful mix of friendly folk, young and old, families and individuals, engaged in spirited conversation, a good book or quiet study over a laptop. They sit at the simple wooden tables and chairs inside, or on the veranda outside at comfortable wrought iron tables and chairs. Dogs are welcome – Water bowls provided! Oftentimes, youll see cyclists who’ve come off the Washington & Old Dominion Trail for refreshment. Michael Amouri, the owner is the nicest guy. He’s dedicated to quality, small batch roasting on site in the coolest machine right in the middle of the café. He is also a purveyor of some of the best ever folk, rock and R&B music, my favorites, with hundreds of memorable album covers bedecking the café’s colorful walls. You can smell the earthy aroma of coffee beans roasting, yielding their subtly, delicious beverages. My favorite take homes are 1-pound bags of Blue Ridge Mountain or Dutchess, but sometimes I enjoy venturing into the exotic specialty coffees, which are usually amazing. My favorite pastry is the Hazelnut Scone. You gotta try the scones! If you are looking for great, small batch roasted coffee in a cozy environment, go to the one I go to, Caffe Amouri in Vienna!

I have been coming to Cafe Amourri every week for the past 3 years. I have been happy with your excellent coffee, good sandwich, and the customer service is very nice. However, one instance this morning sours all the good thoughts I have about Cafe Amouri. I ordered 2 free coffee from the reward program that you have, but the clerk said I can only have one free coffee per visit. I believe this policy is petty and should be abolished. First, I dont go to Cafe Amouri for the free coffee, but if the reward program is there, the customer should be able to redeem any and all rewards the customer is entitled to at any time. Second, if the customer had come to Cafe Amouri 20 times, and want that 2 free coffee and never come back again, that customer should be able to do that. Again, I believe this policy is petty and it sours all my good thoughts about Cafe Amouri.

Caffe Amouri reminds me of the many independent coffee houses I visited while living in Rochester, New York. The owners pursuit of high-quality coffee and inviting, warm atmosphere pay off in this friendly neighborhood coffee shop. The baked goods are all so delicious , especially the chocolate croissant. Importantly for people like me who are trying to stay away from carbs and gluten, they also have healthier options for food like almonds, bananas, and yogurt. Sometimes it gets very busy , so to get that perfect cup you have to be patient. My only real complaint about Caffe Amouri is that its in Vienna, and not Herndon, closer to where I live. Cant wait to have a reason to be and Vienna and stop there again.

I searched for a place near me where I could get some pour over coffee and this had decent reviews on Yelp so I figured Id give it a try. Caffe Amouri was bustling in the middle of the day on a weekday. Its mood is an active but relaxing coffee shop. It has a very hipster vibe to it. I ordered a pour over coffee and a scone. I chose one of the six or so varieties and they made it to perfection. The description on the label was very accurate to how it tasted. Also the scone was very moist and soft. They heated it up for me and it was honestly the best scone Ive ever had from a coffee shop. The staff were pretty cool, nice and cheerful. Ill be going there again when Im back in town for sure.

Nice little coffee shop in Vienna that is probably the only small batch roaster in Northern Virginia. The walls are lined with classic album covers and there are few tables in the space. There are also shared outdoor space with other shops in the little plaza. Coffee. They have some of the best coffee including specialty coffee around. They can help you decide what to get as well, which is a good idea because the coffee can get expensive. This place is worth going the extra mile to find because of the quality of coffee and atmosphere. Pro tip: They serve breakfast all day and their breakfast sandwiches are great.

Always love going here! Nice selection of coffee drinks with almond milk. Several teas as well. 3 hot panini options --all are very good and filling. Nice baked good selection. New tumeric ginger latte is excellent and so unique! They always try to make some neat latte art for you as well. The venue has a lot of natural light and is decorated with record albums. They are always playing great music such as Ella Fitzgerald. They have WiFi and you can bring your laptop and work here. If you are looking for a fabulous indie neighborhood coffee shop this is it.

Ive been wanting to come here for awhile as I love a cute café that makes a good coffee. This café is super cute and charming, the atmosphere is friendly and quiet, and the drinks are made with love (literally, as I got a heart in my coffee art). I ordered a hazelnut mocha and it was the best hazelnut mocha Ive had anywhere. They offer a variety of other drinks - lattes, cappuccinos, shaken iced coffee, pumpkin spice latte, cinnamon spice latte, hot chocolate. They also offer baked goods which look pretty decent too. Parking is a bit tight but manageable.

Michael Amouri is a great roaster and experiments occasionally, so you can get unusual beans and roasts much of the time. The staff is HIGHLY motivated and competent, the restaurant is spotless and smells of roasting and/or brewing coffee, and they do espresso and latte (etc.) drinks that will make you wish youd never bothered with Starbucks. (Theyre also slightly less expensive than *$, and dont burn the beans.) Id make it slightly quieter if I could, and somewhat larger. Baked goods are good but not really remarkable.

I love going to this coffee shop to study and relax. I tried their mango and spinach fruit smoothie. The first time that I had it was amazing so I decided to come back another day to get another serving. However, the second time that I came I believe that I got sick since I had stomach problems after drinking the smoothie. Although I had one bad incident, I have had plenty of positive ones. I probably wont order the smoothie again, but I will certainly come back for the lattes and regular coffee.

Honestly, this place was disappointing. For all their affectation as a cafe for serious coffee drinkers, (the roaster and un-roasted beans in the foyer give it away) their coffee actually doesnt taste very good. Both of our drinks were bitter covered by cloying sweetness. I find a better cup of coffee from Costco beans run through my Coffee-Mate at home. That said, this place has an undeniable charm. It gets full marks for appearance, I just wish they wouldnt burn their espresso so much.

Caffe Amouri was a great find/recommendation from a friend. At the shop, I have always found the staff to be friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Coffees, I have yet to have one that I did not like. The Jamacian Blue is expensive but so delicious. Personally, Im a big fan of the Cubano roast, which I find to be a great big wooly flavor. Normally I trend towards darker roasts, but I finally got a chance to try Nikis Sugar & Spice, super smooth, light and wonderful.
