Shopping during the holiday in your store was truly an experience. Upon entering the store found some loving pieces but first impressions are everything and dealing with an unprofessional staff that dont deal with proper professional care other than the cashiers. I left the store feeling robbed instead of finding a bargain raising my a family of smart consumers. My situation couldve been classified as pricing fraud or discriminatory practices in tricking the consumers to shop in the store. Heres to pictures of two tables both have two different price tags and upon entry to the store it was introduced as a 30% off for cardmembers to encourage the consumer to shop. Well, the pictures say it all but thats not what I paid for the table. I made a note to contact both store managers. The asst manager Ahmad and the store manager Kiri Grant. It wasnt as if I was trying not to shop because I spent close to three hundred dollars but you have a team of trained professionals working collecting in the community collecting a check so each and everyone knows working knows how to keep the store clear of potential problems such as the fraud that was portrayed in your store. My visit today was very alarming but honestly I dont think I personally wont be spending that much money in your store again. Both managers disregard the special/ tag or accommodated my family because of the stores errors. I didnt get the table at the sales price that was on the table. The principle in short fraudulent behavior shouldnt be practice during a holiday to take advantage of a struggling family on a budget. But in the back of my mind that is bothering me - was I discriminated against clearly if I was another color would things have been handle differently. I wont be spending that much money or donating again. Heres a picture of the tags placed on the tables. Honestly as a consumers you see a price and you want to purchase even table without price gouging or fraudulent behavior or a professional staff that doesnt present the best side portrays as holiday thieves and NOT clean or tricks. The sad part of all this is. Service render was very poor. No professionalism on the floor but one my cashier. Ms. Moffit needs to be commended because I was to leave everything. The lesson I learned today is Goodwill Retail Store in Virginia is not conducive to serving the public properly and be careful of fraudulent pricing in the store. Its so unbelievable that the customer is not really right in a store that suppose to be helping struggling family today with a clear and adequate yet visible pricing for all. The only reason I gave one star because it was only one star there in the store who saved the purchase. I was wronged by your store but as a consumer I didnt want a hassle just to buy. Be careful and be concerned about lack of service..

With electronics they over charge you the same as how much it is sold online. They do have some great stuff here and there but WOW this Goodwill (a donation store) is selling 1 video game from $19.99, $39.99, $59.99 and even $124.99 for just ONE video game! I understand that there is rarity among them but cmon now Goodwill is not eBay nor Amazon they get donated goods for FREE and the skyrocket the price like crazy. Its just not right in my opinion. RECENT 6/15/17 Thursday I was shopping here to just look around and possibly purchase something. I have been to the Goodwill in Alexandria and Fairfax area. The prices they have in this Arlington Goodwill is RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED!!! They price their items at such a value that it is even more in market price. Also with my experience today Thursday June 15th, 2017 there was this 25% off promo in anything in the show case (glass case) so I took 2 games (1 game for $2.99 and the other for $39.99). Besides the games my girlfriend wanted a blazer for $6.99 and I found a BEAT UP (poor condition) basketball for $0.99 so when I got to the register one employee didnt know how to apply the 25% off until an Indian lady who always wears a thin scarf around her neck (long time employee). The Indian lady didnt want to include the 25% off towards the $2.99 game as she kept saying its already cheap BUT it was inside the SHOWCASE!! I did not agree so I said that I not right. She applied it after an unnecessary consideration the transaction went through just fine and the new employee asked if we wanted to round up. I said no not today and the Indian lady burst out saying NO YOU HAVE TO ROUND UP, she teared the $0.99 price tag off the basketball and said you are getting cheap stuff and she DEMANDED I round it up. My girlfriend started stating that we are just college students and does not even have a job why demand to round up the total when everything here is already priced so much?! I felt sorry for the store and the employees so we just decided to round up... This issue should not happen at all towards the customers as what the Indian lady and the store for that matter is extremely unprofessional and incompetent. Do something about this issue and that Indian lady should BE FIRED!

If you want to buy and can find parking (or not drive), you will be rewarded with a quick and easy experience. If you want to donate or need to drive in a busy time (weekend or afternoons), you will probably be tired by the effort of getting in & out and wish youd driven the extra distance to go somewhere else, like Uniq in Merrifield. *Inside*, this Goodwill is superior to others nearby because of its incredible dedication to staying organized - everything is in its section, and it keeps a good selection of clothes, accessories, furniture, artwork, AV items, lamps, vacuums and other household items, baskets, kids stuff, dishware, cookware, books and music. Not huge, but good and ORGANIZED. Each section has a sign with pricing so even if there isnt a tag, you know how much a thing is. The other plus is that the staff indoors are competent, helpful, and clearly enjoy working there, which makes it a nice place to browse. They make it feel like a community being there. Out-of-doors, on the donation side its chaos. The wait to drop-off is long and sluggish and involves idling in your car for up to 30-40 mins on a busy Saturday. The line gets in the way of finding & pulling out of parking. They have a clothing bin, but yell at you not to use it if the drop-off is open (even if you walk up with one small bag). Staff is divided between some people who are great - efficient and professional: keeping the line moving, giving you a genuine interaction with eye contact and a quick thanks; and then people who are rushed, short with words, and disengaged: this latter group slows the drop-off line, so that it feels like the wait is forever and then receiving the donation is more of a confusing chore than an appreciated hand-off of goods. (To be fair, some of this comes down to better training but some of it looks like the guys outdoors get hot & dehydrated, and dont seem to have a shaded rest spot with water). So, 3 stars average for a great experience inside but enough of a mess outside to make me regret donating to Goodwill.
