“What a great stop” Weve been going to the VCS for about 25 years....and still keep going back. Each time were in Vermont we stop by to check out their new household/kitchen items, grab a paper sack of penny-candy, see the local Vermont made items. Dont miss checking out the bargain room upstairs for some really wonderful bargains and unique items. Make sure to grab a wedge of cheese, freshly cut right there, from some of Vermonts best farms. Parking is great, located in the back of the store, and plentiful. Theres a picnic area for families to sit and enjoy the Vermont sunshine or grab a snack or lunch. Must see if youre traveling in Vermont (Route 100 for Weston or Route 103 for Rockingham). Visited January 2017

The Weston store, being older, is not as well organized as the Rockingham store. Also, prices are quite high. We visited a similar store in Stowe, and many of the same household items were much less expensive. For example, I COULD have saved upwards of $6 on my butter bell crock in Stowe. My wife saw a sleeping gown, but it was $100! and if she wanted the accompanying outer garment, it was another $100! We can be sucked in to the nostalgia of the presentation of the merchandise, and not realize that the same items can be found elsewhere. Still bought lots of stuff, though.

The prices here are definitely "what you would expect" for a bunch of Made In Vermont products. They are incredibly expensive, but cheaper than buying these products directly from their source, and its stuff you cant really find anywhere else. The gourmet mustard we bought from there is easily the best mustard Ive ever had. Theres an assortment of jellies, dips, and other condiments, along with candy, games, and countless other Vermont products. We always make absolutely sure we stop in for a visit when were in this area.

Ive been coming here almost yearly since I was 13, 23 years ago. Every time I go I expect it to get old, and yet it never does. The free samples of dozens of cheeses, dips, spreads, and fudges is worth the trip. Theres a huge selection of penny candy and much fancier confections by the pound. Its probably also the only place where you can still try on your bloomers before you buy them (Im guessing). They specialize in old fashioned products that are hard to find anywhere else, including toys.

The store really has Vermont vibe and majority of items there are made in Vermont. We tasted many maple syrup types and the price for them was good. The store also have a big variety of locally made cheese which is very delicious but pricy. We also enjoyed tasting of local fudge ( several varieties). Really worth to stop buy to get a local gift or to buy something for yourself or just for tasting! Very lovely atmosphere!

I was here back in January 2012. We went in thinking it would be 10-15mins of browsing and buying one or two things...and an hour and half later we walked out with a ton of candy, knick-knacks and other stuff, and that was after putting most of the stuff we wanted back on the shelf. It is worth it to come here just for the nostalgic items from being a kid (and that includes childhoods from the 1940s through the 1990s)

This place offered samples of various food items as well as other selectons. And not just a few. The shelves were stocked to almost overloaded. The items reflected some of the old time staples of eras past. For an old guy like me it was like a walk down history lane. Youngsters also enjoyed the store because of the diversity of the products offered. Im sure we will go back again. Good job.

Ist auf alt gemacht. Viele Möglichkeiten zum Probieren der angebotenen Waren. Es ist ein Gemischtwarenladen mit interessantem Sortiment, da auch nicht alltägliche Produkte angeboten werden.

This place is AMAZING! Definitely worth a visit - you can sample mostly everything! Food samples galore - cheeses, crackers, dips, pretzels, fudge, and more! Most toys even have a display toy that the kids can play with. My son and I ate and played for over an hour - and then bought A BUNCH of stuff to take home! haha

Its everything you could want in a country store and more. The place is huge. Great snacks like, fudge, chips and more. Then, theres cloths for she and he. Fun stuff and serious stuff too. You have Games, treats, and much more. This is a major league authentic country type store, but on steroids!

Nostalgia everywhere. They sell toys and items I havent seen since the mid 80s and plenty from even before my childhood. On the surface, a lot of things seem a bit over priced, but considering 30-60 years of inflation, the prices could be equivalent to what they were back in the day.

A great country . I was there for the first time last weekend. I want to go back soon. You can not see everything in one visit. Parts of the store bring back war memories. The staff is great and very helpful. I cannot say enough to about how great this place is.

This place is fab! Anything and everything you could ever need or wish for. The inside is like a Tardis, it keeps going and going, stocked full of goodies to taste and stock you never knew existed. I dare you to go in and come away empty handed. Go on... I dare you.

Wonderful place to stop for all sorts of souvenirs and area treats. We were able to sample all types of cheeses, dips and spreads. Just please be aware there is absolutely no cell phone service so make sure you know your directions before getting there.

Yeah its crowded during the weekends but its still a great store that will always have you leaving with something. Best part about it though is the spread Samples. On a cold winter day no better place to go than the Vermont country store!

Get ready, you can spend hours and hundreds of dollars here but its all good. They offer free samples, which really helps in determining what to buy. Toys are way overpriced but food is reasonable.
