Came in from louisiana for work and stopped by to get a few new holsters and also a shotgun . I stood at the gun counter for a good few mins and not one person stopped to ask if I needed help . But however every time a woman walked up or was any where close they where breaking their necks to help them . Finally after the one guy got done trying to run his game I said he buddy Im looking for this type of holster . His response your best bet would be to try online an walked on like he had to go put out a fire but in fact to go tell his buddy how beautiful the woman was that he helped . After 20 mins I said Im done an went to the front as asked to speak with a manager . So Martin the so called manager came up an explained to him what had happened an how all the guys were back there hawking woman and didnt want to help me . He said well I think your not telling the truth on that because I was back there . I said yes you were you passed me twice ! His response on well I was on the phone but I still think your not telling the story right . And then he asked another employee standing there if he thought I was wrong he of course agreed with his manager . I said a few choice words an let him know I will never in my life be back and I sent out mass text messages as well as posted on social media about this experience . This was the worst experience ever . I will continue using bass pro or cabelas never will I use gander mountain even if I was given gift cards to it . Should get a zero rating .

Had a bad experience at this store in their gun department. Purchased a shotgun and scope. After waiting an hour and a half for the scope to be mounted and sighted in, I was told they were too busy and would not finish it today. My frustration is account they were not busy when I first arrived. I did my paperwork and made my purchased. The clerk took my gun back to take care of the scope. After an hour, one of the female clerks checked on the status when she noticed I had been waiting for so long. She said it wouldnt be much longer. 30 minutes later, the person "helping" me says the manager wouldnt let him do it. They were too busy. I ask to speak to the manager and he repeated the same thing to me as well. I expressed my frustration in the fact that I had waited an hour and a half. Why wouldnt anyone have told me that earlier? I asked if I could return all that I had purchased and the manager said sure. He was willing to spend 15" talking to me and return my items, but they were too busy to finish the customer service after my purchase. Against my better judgement, I did not make the return. However, this will be the last gun purchase at the Lewisville, TX Gander Mountain.

I never will be back to your store, use to be my favorite storealways inviting and recommending and buying all the time, better prices and quality than others , vut yesterday I went after my job with casual cloths, maybe thats why I was treated awful. I was on North face area for women and an employee with bear around 30s or 40s was riding a motor cart for customers and look at me in a mean way , thing that I dont care, then I went to the tennis shoe area that was my intention to buy some comfortable shoes, so the employee appear and didnt ask me if I need any help, so I ask him do you have any kind of shoes special to work on concrete floors or sone to walk around 8 hours , so he answered I dnt know, so why he was stand around me ??? I was busy and distracted so I cobtinue looking for shoes and every show that I was checking on , he fix it and look at me mean once again, then I ask do you hace some Nike ?? He said NO!!! Later at night I told my husband Nd he was so mad and told me ,you should report him and look for help for an employee with experience not a nut. Well we never will be back , we have 5 kids and we always buying stuff for them .

Horrible experience. Went in to buy a hand gun and stood there for about 20 minutes before anyone came to help. Finally had a young lady get the gun I wanted and began the paperwork, after 2 hours I finally told her that Id come back, mind you l paid for my gun and ammo. I received a call about 30 minutes later from a manager telling me that the paperwork was ready, so I head back into the store only to find myself waiting another 20 minutes for someone to help me again. This time they start arguing that someone messed up the paperwork and that they cant sell me the gun without running the background check again. I told them to refund my money, which took another 20 minutes because they couldnt figure out how to do a refund. Four hours later I left without a gun, or an apology. Save your time and money, go to Bass Pro and spend it on a company that cares.

I was told by 3 different people that they could put my magpul equipment on ..today I went in there and stated that they would not do it they want to charge me 130 dollars to send it off to there gun smith and I would have to wait 2 weeks to get it it back ...wow no wonder this place does not have good reviews ..no on cares all I get is sorry ..hahaha gun price are alright ..but customer service sucks ..if you buy a gun ..thats all you get youll get lied too left and right and all they can is say sorry !!!! Ill take my business to cabelas they have great customer service they wont lie to your face..Goodluck

Had a few items ordered to the store. I was in a hurry to get to a training class. Logan was very helpful and got everything squared away to keep me on schedule. We even had a few curveballs during checkout that Logan found a way to make work out. Saved me the time of another rush-hour traffic-jam trip back out. Even though I live closer to bass pro, for my next purchase Ill be heading to Gander Mountain for the better prices and above-and-beyond type of customer service!

i was little nervous when i walk into store based all the bad reviews but everything went pretty smooth when i purchased my rifle at gander for the first time. staffs are friendly and willing to help. the whole process for me to get my rifle is more like 45 minutes which inclue financing, background check, and purchasing. my only concern is i dont get montly rate for my 12 months financing, but otherwise all went smooth.will be back for more firearms for sure.

Horrible management here, its no wonder this location is always dead and no staff! Witnesssed a few days ago a manager (name tag read Nick) in an orange vest yell and talk down to multiple employees with customers around. Dont know much about retail but I know thats definitely not how you run a store. Already told all my buddies and taking my business elsewhere.
