I have been to many thrift stores all over the city of Houston (I will admit, I am a bit of a thrift store freak!). So when I walked into this store I felt like I had hit the jackpot. The selection in clothes (men and women) was off the chain. Most of the clothes that I bought were brand name and in great condition. My husband is still so proud of the fact that he can go to church in all thrift store clothes and look as if he shopped at a mall. The book section, housewares, and sporting goods section all are kept very clean and organized (I cant stand when I have to sort through stuff, I dont have time for all that!). The clothes were very well organized too (which is my biggest complaint with most other thrift stores). Pricing in comparison to other thrift stores is super competitive. For example, if a dress shirt cost $3.50 at such & such store (no names will be used), then at this store a dress shirt of the same quality and style would be $2.00 easily. Books, housewares, office supplies, jewelry, holiday decorations are all well under the prices I have seen at other thrift, second-hand, or resale shops. I dig it!

The prices are pretty much the lowest Ive seen around Houston. They have a good selection too. I think the selection at Goodwill is a little bit better, but the prices at Goodwill tend to be higher - esp. for clothing. The clothing at DAV is super cheap!! and its still good quality and styles. Organized and tidy. Good furniture, books, clothes, shoes, pretty much everything. You should definately check this place out. Its at the top of my list for thrift stores.

I love going to dav on griggs the price is right the workers are very respectable and always ready to assist you. I go to the store about three times a week and I told them dav is my favorite store the prices are very reasonable and i love to shop for painting, china, lamps, books, and old vinyl record albums.
