Had such an awkward experience at this place.Went with a friend for a simple nose piercing on Sunday (4/14/13), the apprentice was nice and kind of helpful, but was not doing the piercing. There was one guy filling in a tattoo that we were waiting for to do the piercing, the wait was fine. When he got to us, he almost acted annoyed and gave no instruction to my friend at all for her piercing. It was a "get in and get out" sort of mentality, oh and here is your sheet of paper with directions. I dont expect a smiling face all of the time, but maybe making someone feel comfortable in your shop will make them want to come back again. I know and hope that she will not be going back there for her tattoo and I know I wont be going back for future piercings. Definitely needs some customer service work.

My husband went there for his first tattoo. The guy who did it was a cool guy and all, super nice. But the sword on my husbands tattoo is quite crooked. Parts of the gun and bullets are, as well. For my birthday in November, we went there to show them a picture and see how much it would cost to get. Before I could even ask for the price, thy told me they dont do any tattoos that they havent already drawn up. It was just a simple flower from Google. I looked at their flowers and to be honest, they looked cartoonish, not at all realistic. My friend went to get her nape pierced, and they told her it would paralyze her because it hurts the spine. They are not that educated on piercings. But then again, its only $10 so you pretty much get what you paid for.

Very rude guys! Their work is bad too and I got pics of it that Im not proud to show but will if it saves you from going! And when I say rude I mean very rude, unhappy people to be around. I didnt talk for almost the whole 3 hrs and was so mad I paid for the uncomfortable environment I was in. Then saw the work and just cried. I dont normally leave bad reviews but this was so bad all the way around and permanent, so hope this saves others. Later found Studio 819 and was blown away, complete 180 with the work and environment. Got pics of their work also I love to show.

The owner of this establishment does phenomenonal Tattoo work in my opinion, he did my tattoos almost 17 years ago and they are still dark and nice Ive never avoided the sun, they are beautiful prices and he is very good at words and writing tattoos, or thats just what I got from him anyways! Chuck is a very talented human being and will hook you up! All of my artwork from him is religious biblical scripture and pictures, and its beautiful! JOB WELL DONE and Im fixing to come back for my first tattoo since I was 18 years old!

the people there were straight up rude, and they told me a septum piercing was a high risk piercing so they wouldnt do it. i researched it and found out that it was perfectly safe. the guy there probably didnt feel comfortable doing it and lied about it. i went to roustabout and seven did it just fine. it healed up nicely, and ive went back several times for both piercings and tattoos. all of my tattoos done there look amazing.

polite and very helpful. my wife and I made the mistake of going to some other shops around town first and either the quality of work was terrible or the people were rude and unwilling to help us at all like the Illusions place. not only did the guys at alley cat make us feel welcome, but took the time to answer all the questions we had. we both ended up with great tattoos and were planning on more soon.

I have had a couple of tattoos by alley cats and they do great work ive had tattoos by roustabout and all the rest in cville and they have all messed them up chuck is a great artest and knows it if u want a great tattoo go to alley cats if not and u like your tattoo artest talking laughing with everyone around them not paying attention while they do your tattoo then go somewhere else

I dont want to give 1 star because I cant speak for their work because I came by the shop at 9:30 pm on Friday night with a few people. It appeared to be closed and i called with no answer. It would just be nice to know what your definition of "late" is because I didnt think 9:30 on Friday is late. Or at least a time that you for sure will be in the shop.

Travis did a great job with my tattoo and he was very polite, the owner however is incredible rude and after his douche bag comments, I wont be going back ever again. It ruined my experience. Quality wise and politeness, everyone else has always been great, and the owner is even an amazing artist BUT his degree of rudeness, I just cant handle anymore.

I went here a few months ago to get a tattoo and the guy with the long hair was just rude. I asked to see some designs and he wouldnt even talk to me. Said the designs are on the wall. He wouldnt help me find anything. When I had found something he was watching something on TV and said for me to wait a minute. I left here

VERY RUDE EMPLOYEES!!! I bought a vape from this places and the guy with the long hair would barely answer my question without seeming pissed off. I tried having a simple conversation with him and he seemed like he was mad at me or something. DONT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO HE TREATED WITH RESPECT!!

i got a tattoo there about a year ago and i called ahead and gave the artist a rough idea of what i wanted. he did an amazing job designing the tattoo and it still looks great. the price was very reasonable and the artist was very nice and professional. i plan to go back for my next one soon.

Absolutely no customer service. I was sent there by friends I trusted. Ink work goes outside the lines. Not realistic at all even though thats what I requested. Now Im looking for someone to fix it.

they dont perform the septum piercing which is very disappointing. poor education, seems like tattoo artists who are trying to pierce to make extra money, but dont know how. not recommended

The cleanest and most professional shop around. The only shop in Cookeville I would recommend getting tattooed at. Great staff. Amazing work! You wont be disappointed
