This review is from a month ago, but my boyfriend asked me not to give the review until we got our couch cover... So we went in on a Saturday afternoon and were looking around. This NEW, 1298.00 sectional caught our eye but we knew we didnt want to pay that much. I believe our salesperson was Martin, and before everything played out he was really good. Everyone knows that furniture sales people have wiggle room to negotiate so we figured we could come to a happy medium for both us and them. Unfortunately, Martin was unable to get it down, within his authority, to a price that we were wanting to pay. At this point he was already expressing how he didnt want to ask his Supervisor, Jed (who I believe has a terrible Napoleon Complex), because he had already made him lose 2 sales that day even after he had given one of his own customers a 300.00 discount to save his own. Yes, he disclosed this to us. So he finally ended up letting him know that he needed some assistance with saving the sale, I think he used we had price shock and he told him to calm down, and just have them put it on layaway...*side eye*. I told him we dont want to put it on layaway, we want to pay for it, just not this price. And he pretty much was saying there was nothing more he could do. Ok...fine, so we go to look at our second choice which was a 799.99 set, but Martin said he was going to go call Jeds Supv to try to get us a reasonable price to save this sale. He went to the back part of the warehouse and then came back to us and was like Jeds Supv said 1250.00, tax included, but because were giving you a great price, you cant bring it back. We were like cool, because initially after taxes they wanted 1400...so we paid and they arranged delivery for the following day. Sunday, our NEW furniture comes and theres a box cutter slit in my NEW chair! I let my boyfriend know, he calls the store and they tell us that there was nothing they could do because it said no returns on our receipt. So after going back to the store and completely cussing Jed out on a Sunday, what we found out was Martin never spoke to another Supv...he and Jed came to an agreement that they would give us the set w/damaged chair at the 1250 price and to put no returns on our receipt...but they never told us that. They like bait and switched us. After asking for the corporate number and getting cussed out royally, he finally offered to order a new couch cover for us and told us it would take 8wks to get there. Theyre slick...all to save a sale. I love my set and our couch cover came in about 3/4wks early, but because of their deceptive practices, I wouldnt dare walk foot in this place ever again.

Got a call from upper management and was told I would get a refund and payment for inconvenience since I live 30 min away. Called today while I was in town and he wasnt there, was told manager would call me when he came in. Waited 2 hours and no call back, called them to see if guy just forgot, and I got someone who said I could have the ten bucks but payment for inconvenience was not noted. But where I was in Antioch it would of been 5 in gas. Really dont have time with three kids to go back and forth for ten bucks. They must create profiles too publish reviews and its sad if they ask you to leave a review! If you want something cheap and quick without researching better furniture that is cheaper its ok. I bought two mattresses and of course they always say I can take off a certain amount but they probably bought it for half that price. Then they throw in the mattress covers which probably are worth more than the mattresses. I asked for a twin but they gave me a full and charged me for it but I didnt know because I didnt have the receipt and my husband, who was in a separate truck, got the cover. I had to tell him to ask for the receipt but I never saw it before I left and the salesman never gave it to me. Of course the salesman rang me up for a full and not the twin but didnt see it til we both got home. I went to take it back and after standing at the counter for five minutes (I guess because it was clear to see I wasnt buying) this other salesman changed it out and then said no refunds but he could give me store credit which is crap! I did not ask for that and its not my fault you people cant do business right. They are very shady!!! You will get taken, do your research first! Probably could get better at Walmart.

Awesome selection and staff. We recommend working with Sam or Josh ! They were very helpful and found us the perfect sectional for our home. UPDATE: Will never purchase furniture here again. At first, everything was great. Good sectional, great price, staff was nice. They ask us for a 5 star google review in exchange for a lamp, yay.... We buy the couch. They GUARANTEE 4 weeks, and then we dont hear from them. My girlfriend calls and gets the run around, they keep telling her to call back and call back. No one ever calls her for an update. I call for her, I get the same treatment and basically am told that the guarantee will not be met. I finally reach out to customer service and two days later I receive a call full of apologies and an offer of a 100$ refund and a promise to call us with updates weekly. We get one call, No couch yet, thats fine, thanks for telling us. Today on 12/20 my girlfriend gets a jumbled unintelligible voice-mail that sounds like someone swallowed their phone, saying the couch is on its way for delivery. She texts me and lets me know the couch is coming in. I go there after work to schedule delivery for next Tuesday and they tell us its already on the way to our house. NO ONE AUTHORIZED DELIVERY FOR TODAY, NO ONE CALLED AND ASKED US, I DID NOT WANT TO BE CHARGED FOR SAME DAY DELIVERY, I NOW HAVE MY OLD TWO COUCHES IN MY KITCHEN TAKING UP UNNECESSARY SPACE, BECAUSE NO ONE GAVE US ANY WARNING OF THE DELIVERY OR TIME TO GET RID OF OUR OLD COUCHES. DO NOT SHOP HERE, SPEND MORE MONEY ELSEWHERE, THE HEADACHE IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE. WILL NEVER PURCHASE HERE AGAIN.

Purchased a couch from here 7/26. Couch was delivered around 9pm the week after. The couch came to us with a 6 inch tear in the cushion. The delivery men said that we should just keep the couch for the night, call American Freight tomorrow and they will bring another couch ASAP. This was NOT the case. I have called this company at least 6 times the past month trying to get them to deliver me a new couch. First they told me it would be delivered in a week - that week passed and I did not hear a word from them. Called them again and they stated that they had to have it shipped from another facility, but that it would be delivered on the 15th - the 15th came and went - no word from the company. Finally called again on Saturday the 16th and Skylar stated that I must have "misunderstood" when the couch was being delivered (however she definitely told me it would be delivered ON the 15th) and that they do not do transfers on the weekend. She stated she would give me a call on Monday or Tuesday and let me know when the couch would be delivered. Never called, in fact she wasnt even working those days! Ridiculous. Had to call AGAIN today to see where my couch was and they stated they had to call and see if my couch was on the delivery truck today (probably should be a PRIORITY considering Ive been waiting a month for a new couch.) Overall, the experience at the actual store was pleasant minus the lack of AC. However, after they get your money they could care less about you or your satisfaction. Next time I would GLADLY spend the extra money to get furniture from a reputable company.
