I have been going to 2020 Vision for three years. Every time I go I am overwhelmed with the fabulous customer service. When you first walk in, you are always greeted with kindness and smiles and amazingly, the same people are there working from the previous year, no turnover in this office! I am very challenged with contacts and Dr. Hynes is so patient with me. She has tried six different types of contacts on me trying to get the right fit and the best vision for me. And oh by the way.......I am not charged for all of these tries until we find the correct contacts for me!! When trying decide between the hundreds of adorable glasses, the staff all comes out and votes which frame looks the best on me. Believe it or not, Dr. Hynes also comes out for what I call the “eye glass viewing” and we all make a decision on the right glasses for me! Fabulous customer service is a thing of the past in most businesses today, but I can assure you it is alive and well like you have never seen at 2020 Vision. I have never written a review, but felt so strongly about 2020 Vision I wanted to write one today. After your experience, you will never go to huge eye doctors offices again because you are in and out here quickly and you will be so pleased. For all the University and State employees out there, 2020 Vision participates in our Vision Plan. Thank you Dr. Hynes and the 2020 staff, you are the best! ENJOY!!!!! Mary Harden Androne

I had my first eye exam at this location this morning and was pleasantly surprised at what a nice experience an eye exam could be. The doctor was down to earth and very knowledgeable. She spent more than 15 mins with me discussing my concerns alone. I have always been used to a Dr zipping in and then out and always having to deal with staff instead. Speaking of staff...WOW is all i can say. The ladies in the office actually had a PERSONALITY for once!! I didnt get a sliding glass window shut in my face when I signed in. One of the ladies helped me to pick out glasses and she was fantasic!! Very helpful and really had a great eye for what looked good on me. The selection of eyeglasses was better then Ive ever seen...that was my deciding factor as to making my appt. I was very pleased with the service, staff and inventory. Im lucky that I have great vision insurance...having been without it before, it is a very expensive drs visit, even at my former drs office. I would encourage everyone to have it....it makes you a less unhappy patient!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Hynes for 10+ years. She is the ONLY physician I have seen that could get both contact lenses correct (one multi-focal and one mono), I have the best vision I have had in MANY years (after seeing her). She is also the only physician that can cure my dry-eye issues (with insertsplugs in ducts-painless and shes quite good at it). I have purchased glasses and contact lenses here and have recommended Dr. Hynes and staff to many friends (including the minister of my church in Lexington, SC here, also close friends). I was in pharmaceutical sales for 21 years and I KNOW a good Dr. from a bad one, she is superb....no doubt about this.... James Johnson, Lexington, SC

Dont buy glasses or contacts from them! The location is ideal, and Dr. Hynes does a great job at fitting me with contact lenses (not an easy task). HOWEVER, the unfriendly staff isnt very helpful. They tack on all sorts of charges that should just be covered in the exam. Also, they really REALLY try a hard sell approach to try and get you to buy glasses and contacts from them. They told me it would cost $400.00 just for the LENSES for my eyeglass prescription! I ordered my glasses, frames and all, for $40.00 online. I want to support small businesses, but not when they ridiculously gouge their customers, and are rude to boot!

The staff is Super Fantastic and Dr. Hynes is awesome. I went to 20 20 Vision on my lunch hour to buy contacts, found out my prescription had expired and had to get my yearly exam.....I was thinking, "Oh Boy, this is going to take a while"....But to my pleasant surprise, I was in and out in 35 minutes!! Dr. Hynes was great! They even had my brand and prescription contact lens IN Stock at a very fair price! Even Wal-Mart has to order my brand....I cannot say enough about my truly exceptional experience here! Its great to have fast, efficient, and friendly service on a lunch hour!

I was a new patient last this week and they just happened to have a cancellation the day I called, so that was definitely a plus (even if it was a coincidence). I tried making an appointment at a nearby clinic, but the receptionist was so rude, I didnt bother. However, at 20_20 Vision, it was the opposite. Everyone was very nice, professional, and helpful. My exam went smoothly, I picked out a pair of cute lenses, and they didnt try to push me to get anything extra like anti-glare lenses when I declined the initial offer. Love this place.

I went in as a new customer for an eye exam; the exam itself was done well, the doctor seems to know what shes doing. Despite that, even though its a Friday and you are about to close for your long weekend, the receptionists could stand to be less b****y and crack a smile. Also, when a pupil dilation takes 10 minutes, I would appreciate a 10-12 minute wait instead of a 20-25 minute wait while you all chat and gossip. So, the exam was ok, but this is why I chose to not purchase glasses from this location.

I have been a customer of 2020 vision for five years. Dr. Hynes does a great job! The staff is welcoming and friendly! And its only a block away from where I live! Being a student I find the place very convenient. They had worked with my student insurance plan over the years and always given me good deals for both lenses and frames. I remember once that I only had to pay a co-pay of $15! They also have discounts for USC students! All in all, a team of four wonderful people. Good job guys!

20/20 Vision is the hidden jewel of Columbia. Dr. Hynes is not only an MD, PhD, but a board-certified ophthalmologist who has been injecting botox for over a decade. The office staff is delightful, and very accomodating. I dont want anyone coming near my face with a needle except for Dr. Hynes. Highly recommend 20/20 Vision for botox and juvederm.

I have been a patient for many years here. The staff and Dr. Hynes are caring, helpful and all highly intelligent. They have helped with contacts, dry eyes and glasses. I worked in big-pharma for 21 years-called on physicians and I know good physicians from mediocre ones. Dr. Hynes is great, highly intelligent & nice.

I am a pretty tough to fit patient, but Dr Hynes got me seeing 2020 (or better) first shot. Great selection of the latest eye-wear and they will also give honest feedback which I really apprec. The entire atmosphere was a perfect mix of fun and class. Highly recommend. She accepts most insurance as well.
