I have had 3 Tattoos done at Blue Velvet & all 3 have been great Tattooing experiences!! 2 were done when it was owned by Amber 1 was script the other was a cartoon character in which "I LOVE" but the coloring I was not happy W/ I was told that after healing that it would POP! it never did- Buy my last Tattoo was done by "Ness" & hes the man... I was so picky he must of moved my outline like 8-11x & was totally cool about it, He didnt get frustrated or make loud sigh sounds when I was like "can we move it a bit up but over & back"& he was like listen this will be permanent nently on you Ill move it until your 110% happy W/ the placement. Again I have been so happy W/the drawings the only thing I can say is that my Carrtoon Tattoo Im unhappy W/but again only W/ the coloring, but "Ness" said come back & he will fix things up. So all in all I have had Awesome experiences & would Highly recommend them to anyone whos interested in getting a Tattoo. Blue Velvet is a very Clean Cool Place W/very Nice Kind Helpful Artists who are honest & ALWAYS GIVE THEIR All when doing a Tattoo & if they think that another Artist can do a better job they will tell you & recommend you getting your Tattoo done by the other Artists!!! THANK YOU BLUE VELVET Im a 3peat costumer & soon to be 4peat!!! HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL IN THE SHOP... as well as THE KIDS

Ambers Blue Velvet was recommended to me by a friend. Never again would I step foot in this place to get a tattoo again. Too overpriced ($250 for a small Superman tattoo) and the accommodations were awful - had to sit on an uncomfortable folding chair under a huge halogen lamp. The tattoo artist was wonderful...totally understanding when I almost fainted. But I probably fainted because of the 100 watt halogen bulb in my face!! The red in the tattoo is practically non existent and the whole tattoo needs to be redone. All in all, between the prices and the awful work, i would steer clear of this place!!!

I got my first tat when I was 18 from Amber while she was working at Jay Birds. Now that I am double that age, Ive had 5 more done by her & 2 done by her co-workers at Blue Velvet. They are excellent artists, amazing at drawing up what I felt I was explaining terribly, polite & quick. The shop is spotless & in a prime location coming from Philly or Jersey. I cant wait to go back & get another! Thanks guys!

Beautiful tattoos! Ive had three tattoos done there by Amber. All came out amazing. The place is cleaner that a doctors office. You do not need to worry at all about getting any infections here. The tattoo work is excellent. The tattoos were a little pricier than other places I checked out, but the quality of work is well worth it.

i have gotten six tattoos and a cover up from sue plus my wife and Daughter went there too and loved it Sue does our work she is great in all aspects i recomend Ambers Blue Velvet over anyone i have gone too. Cant say much about the shop, except it should pay attention to its artists, but Juan not only botched the original tat, but his "fix" was worse. if I could post a picture, I would. My cover up is costing me a fortune, but what a learning experiance. Stay away from this guy...

I didnt get a tattoo done but I got a piercing. Super friendly but professional staff, very clean instruments and shop, and an overall great experience!! If you ever need a piercing or tattoo done, definitely check these guys out. Seriously such an awesome place!
