Brought my glasses in with a severed earpiece, courtesy of my strong toddler. The guy looked it over, and said he could fix it and quoted $69. Steep, but it will be a while before I can get a whole new pair. So I thought, "Why not?" Returned 15 minutes later and he tells me he actually CANNOT fix my glasses, and he had ripped out one of the lenses from my nice, flexible, lightweight frames and placed it into a cheap plastic frame that looked marginally similar. $80 he quoted, to just buy the whole new frame. It was much heavier, not flexible at all and didnt seem near as sturdy as my old glasses. We argued a bit as I told him I did not want them and he told me that there was no difference and I should just buy the new frame. I decided not to and asked him to put my lens back into my original broken frame, then he says he COULD solder the broken piece into a fixed position on my old frames for $40. I agreed and he went back to fix them, came back out after another fifteen minutes and said that he "fixed my lens popping out problem". I never had a problem with the lens popping out. My glasses were smacked, dropped, sat on, crushed and beaten up and still looked great after six years of use and the lens had never popped out. As I was about to pay him, the lens he had torn out DID pop out. "Oops" he said, and went into the back to try and fix it. Fifteen minutes later, I am aching to get out of there and he hands me my glasses. I pay the man as he tells me that I "got a great deal" for all the work he did. What? Fixing the damage hed done? After leaving I further inspected my glasses and I can clearly see that the lens he ripped out is VERY LOOSE. Im not happy about this because I didnt come in for him to mess around with my lenses. I only wanted a fix on the earpiece and he ended up BREAKING MY GLASSES. By the way, he has a one-year warranty on his shoddy workmanship. Yay, me!

My wife broke her glasses last night, the only pair she owns... shes near blind without them and she doesnt have a stand-by pair (shes had them for like 12 years) needless to say, life was over and we didnt really have the funds to purchase BOTH the eye-exam and the new glasses. We went to the local Fred Meyers (just up the road from this place) and instead of shoveling scripted nonsense about THIS deal and THAT deal at us.. the wonderful woman at the optometry office gave us a card and told us this guy could fix them. Cut to the whole point youre reading this review.. the guy who works here? ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. he took her glasses.. and fixed them in like 2 minutes.. welded the rim where it had snapped, filed it down so you cant even tell there ever was a break, and gave them right back. polite and understanding.. was amazed at how old the glasses were, and heres the BEST PART... he guarantees his fixes for a year. all at about 1/5 the cost of an exam and new glasses... 13.5/10 would recommend this place to anyone EVER...thanks for being a hero without a cape!

After several years of use, I had a mounting screw pop out of my rimless frames. After looking around, I decided to give this place a try. During my initial visit, the proprietor immediately let me know the screws were frame-specific, so he didnt have any in-shop. He suggested I contact the manufacturer and confirmed the frame model for me based on the text stamped on them. When I receive the screws from the manufacturer, they were far too long (1cm when they should have been 2-3mm). I went in again, and he offered to try to grind one down as closely as he could to the appropriate size, then see if the threads stayed intact enough to use. Long story short, he got very close; theres the tiniest bit of play on that lens, but the glasses stay together reliably, which is far better than where I started. I may contact the manufacturer again at some point, but its much less pressing than before. The shop isnt anything fancy, but the proprietor was friendly and competent, and he got me what I needed at a very low price. Ill be going back for any future needs.

When i visit a place of vision and optometry i would like to be able to see a nice place once i regain my eyesight through fixed eyeglasses. It seemed like they havent cleaned the floor and arrangements in a few months if not longer. I required a replacement Left Temple for my frames. They mentioned that they have many spare parts and that i should come in and they could fix me right up. When i got there they pulled out a Left Temple from a completely different frame. Keep in mind this is a used and broken frame that someone had left there previously. They were asking for $35.00, either this or pay $65.00 for the piece to be soldered back together. I found the same piece, brand new, for $25.00 elsewhere. Make sure you compare prices before settling for this place.

Visited the store with some overly expensive and damaged sunglasses. The first pair he looked at and told me how to get them replaced for free by Oakley, which i did later that day. The nose piece on my wifes maui jims had come off, and the store we purchased them from didnt even want to look at them. The owner at this plase took about 2 minutes to snap the piece back on. He said, just give me what you think is fair. I wanted him to charge my card 10 bucks since I only had 4 dollars cash. He said , "just give me the 4 dollars and tell your friends". Great service!

The guy intelligently described my breakage problem, quoted 69, said by noon the next day. The glasses fixed ok, but charged 79, said he never charges 69. I really think I heard 69. Then I read other reviews talking about his 69 charge. I paid because I wanted out of there. But, I also bought a pair of some EK Accessories eyewear retainers (micro 3-way) for 20. Got home and the EK sight sells them for 9.99. This guy is simply a swindler and likely doesnt really care that he is. No more business from me.

Frankie, the owner & operator is awesome. In business for over 20 years, hes very knowledgeable, prices are extremely reasonable & being that hes centrally located we wouldnt consider going anywhere else. Dropped off glasses for repair. $59, OK steep but I need them. He said they will be reading anytime tomorrow. I drove across town and he was not even there. Called later in the day,no answer. Costco recommends him but he is expensive and you need to call first.

I had my glasses fixed in under 5 min. I was involved in accident and my glass flew from my head to some corner of car. It was not broke but was not wearable without repair. I went today afternoon 5 min before closing time and they fixed it. I am happy man.
